Good post Marshall. It's a shame that your moderators and other administrator go around on other boards stirring up and getting involved in trouble. But I commend you for keeping your cool throughout the whole situation and trying to settle it peacefully.

Do you have proof of this? I've visited some other boards and what I saw was the members of those boards bashing S2k and it's members. I've seen a few members from here (mods too) try to clear things up.

Bravo for Chad and Marshall for bringing storm2k back to what from it's creation in october 8th 2002 was the theme a family enviroment board.I also commend my fellow other mods for the help we are providing to the administrators to mantain this board as it was created for.Of course the regular members have also to be commended for being patient in this period but also they supported what the mods and admins are doing.This confirms what I haved said before many times that storm2k is the best board of the net PERIOD and it is my permanent home in the net.Also when hurricane season comes we are the best around the net and this year we will be better I can assure everyone but in 41 days you will see so stick around for that.

We have no control on who posts what on other boards...and in reality, it perfectly fits another post I made this week. Those who aren't comfortable with who they are...and what they stand for...then find ways to belittle or bash those who represent what they want to be. By trying to make someone else look bad, they equate that to making themselves look better. Doesn't work that way.

This was a good learning experience for all of us and while we could be smug and arrogant about where we stand, we instead should be humbled and not forget that each and every person who passes through our lives has something to offer. Our visitors have made us stronger and wiser.

Humble is the word.

Thanks Marshall and staff for coping as you did and holding steadfast to keeping the welcome sign out front for those who want to come in and visit in ways that won't stir the dust in our home in disruptive ways.

I'd thought about leaving Storm2K and haven't posted here in the last day or two due to some ill will...won't go into specifics...but have decided to stay and see how things will go.

Kevin, there have been a lot of hateful things said on a lot of the boards including yours. The first bash fest there wasn't started by our members. My point is that there is absolutely nothing to be gained by anyone by this continuing. Ther have been entirely too many long term relationships damaged by the hatefulness on all sides. I for one will not allow it to continue here and I've asked that all our members set the example both here and elsewhere.

Thank you Marshall. It may be a long road ahead, but we need to rebuild this board to what it once was and bury the hatchet. This is the best board on the net and it comes at a cost. Like AZskyman said, humility wins out no matter who has the biggest mouth.

I agree with this and i myself promise it has ended now! So yes lets all please let this drop! We have all invested way to much here at Storm2K to let our (for those of us who did) anger get the best of us and its time like i said for us all to make the peace and i do apoligize to the rest of the members and staff here at Storm2K and the other boards elsewhere for being out of line!

Good deduction to figure out who I was and thanks for not banning me again. I still do not like storm2k but I will try not to get involved in any more arguments about it. And regarding my board, that will end as soon as both sides want it to. I don't plan on stopping it because I figure it's better people settle things there, since it is just supposed to be a backup board, rather than bring it back here or to wwbb. Hopefully it will end sooner rather than later. I do apologize for things I said about storm2k as a whole as it is a good board and I have no problems with you personally Marshall. However I strongly suggest that you talk to certain staff members if you want people to stop leaving and in order for your board to try to regain a good reputation.

Marshall, thanks for posting this. I will do my part and let go of all the hatred that I've felt toward some of the staff here. I also agree not to post anymore disapproval of members' behaviors on other message boards. From now on, if I have something to say, I will say it to them, privately.

Like Marshall told me last night, we really need a storm to restore order around here! Well, we had our storm, now it looks like we'll finally have order once again!

Thank you Kevin. However you will note that it has stopped from this end as of lastnight/early this morning on your board. Myself included like i already stated! And if this is truely to work then it does have to stop on ALL ends. We have done our part now its time for everyone else to.

Eric I knew you would not take the ultimate decision to abandon storm2k but I understand your feelings at a given moment in past days however I think those days are in the past to no return so we can focused on what this board is about to discuss all about weather and other things in a family enviroment manner.

I also want to apologize to the members of wwbb and to Kevin. And to all the members of S2K that I have upset as of late. I just felt I needed to defend myself and I should have just ignored it. I do apologize to Kevin for posting on his board to ticka. That was personal and I should have taken it up with her privately. Hopefully, this will all be put to rest so we can get back to why we are at both boards to begin with and that is our passion for weather or to simply relax and chat with great friends!!
