The Round Church.......that's the one the devil can't corner you in....

Actually, baptized Methodist, confirmed from an Evangelical Covenant Church and currently attend a Lutheran Church when I attend that is.
So, basically, a believer in Christianity but not necessarily in any one specific denomination. :D

Born and raised Roman Catholic, with a heavy Jesuit influence; while a teen, I found the doctrine and dogma contradicted by Biblical authority, and began a search for a church that I felt was consistent with the Scriptural delineations re: governance, qualifications of clergy, etc.

This long search inculded Baptist, AG, Lutheran (all flavors), Methodist, UCC, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, etc. (among many, many others); although each had their good points, none seemed to embody the Historic Church as plainly expounded by St. Paul's letters to Timothy, or 1 Peter, etc. I took my time, investigated every nuance, and then...

I accepted, and was received into the Anglican Order (Protestant Episcopal, here in U.S.) of Christianity, and have been there since 1982. I am happy that many of you have been "rocks" upon which your denominations can build; for me, it was a rocky pilgrimage, but well worth the trip.

My wife and I were both born and raised catholic, but kinda fell away. I was with an independent charismatic church for a while but it imploded and I started drifting again. we know we need to get plugged in somewhere, because we are seeing the lack of foundation showing up in our kids. Ironically, my 19yr old stepdaughter has started attending church and is gently pushing us in that direction again. Your prayers needed to get us off our butts!
With that said, I'm expecting an irresistable force to start moving in our lives.
