Zwyts, very true, as much as I hate to say it, lol.

And Dennis, no hard feelings. I was calling you on misrepresenting Chad, not your political viewpoints.

Dennis, you know I love ya and respect ya to the end of the earth, but in this case, unlike most, the message is not the issue....it is the messenger.

Usually, you hear the opposite. "Don't shoot me, I'm only the messenger."

In my opinion there may very well be truth, and plenty of it, in Fahrenheit 911 and MM's book....but here's a guy whose politics plays second string to his desire to irritate, to stir, and to portray the emotions of others in a way that fills his pockets with every new show he appears on and every debate and argument he gets airtime for.

I'll not disrespect those who take sincere issue with our President, but I believe an artist is an artist is an artist, and whatever value he intended to portray through his art is quickly lost by his rapidly expanding wallet.

MM is something less than he was before, not something "Moore."

I still love ya, Dennis!

Steve, in a way, that's how I view Rush, etc. Media is a forum for them to discuss their views. In this case it's the other side that is using it to further his cause.

Dennis...read this exchange between O'reilly and Moore in the interview Bill did.

Now I know you say his book is an eye opener...but I'm surprised a smart man like yourself can't see through his american hating very un-patriotic arguably communistic ways.

(I've highlighted completely outrageous things he said....but there were so many many more)

MOORE: But that was your question…

O'REILLY: Just the issues. You’ve got three separate investigations plus the president of Russia all saying… British intelligence, U.S. intelligence, Russian intelligence, told the president there were weapons of mass destruction; you say he lied. This is not a lie if you believe it to be true, now he may have made a mistake, which is obvious…

MOORE: Well, that’s almost pathological. I mean, many criminals believe what they say is true; they could pass a lie detector test…

**here he pretty much says Bush is a criminal capable of passing a lie detector test...give me a BREAK!

O'REILLY: All right, now you’re dancing around a question…

MOORE: No, I’m not. There’s no dancing.

O'REILLY: He didn’t lie.

MOORE: He said something that wasn’t true.

** Moore's justification for calling Bush a liar...pathetic

O'REILLY: Based upon bad information given to him by legitimate sources.

Comments like that make me just decide not to read the exchange and the point that you are trying to make. You're no better than Michael Moore, Rush, etc.

Michael Moore is a propagandist, Dennis; he takes facts, deletes those parts that tell the whole story, and only reports those clips or half-quotes as the "facts" to prove his own contentions.

Moore makes no secret of the fact that he is a socialist, and would love to see the United States become another Sweden (which almost went bankrupt due to its "womb-to-tomb" caretaking of its population, but Moore doesn't address that).

He also goes out of his way to portray Americans as dumb, disenchanted, and in need of a "guiding hand (read: socialist liberals)" to lead "we, the people" in what he thinks is the right direction...a paternalistic, cubbyholed-from-birth, micromanaged society in which power is held only by the infinitesimally tiny clique that Moore belongs to.

His arrogance, condescension and contempt for America and Americans is well-known, Dennis; and thinly disguised, if that, in his movies and books.

No problem j!

Bill -
His arrogance, condescension
- that describes Rush to me as well. I don't see any difference between the two of them. The each side has their own.

Wow Steph, I see a HUGE difference between Michael Moore and Rush. One simple difference: Rush is respected, especially among conservatives. I don't know anyone who respects Michael Moore.
