Annette - I have visions of furry's house.....all decorated already. Cards on the dining room table, stamps nearby (do you ever manage to buy both at the same time - cards AND stamps? Rarely have I been THAT organized!). Presents purchased already and probably wrapped. Tree is not up yet but I have a feeling the ornaments and lights are standing nearby, waiting for that tree to appear! Let's see what else.....fur's in the kitchen, baking up a storm......

Psst fur.....Thursday, November 25th is a special day too....Thanksgiving...you might have heard of it? LOL

I'm just kidding with ya...please know that. And the funny thing is Shannon, I suspect you are not alone anymore. At the Mall today, what did I see but Santa already! Yes he used to arrive the Friday AFTER Thanksgiving! Everywhere you look, there are xmas decorations up and merch on sale. For a few weeks actually. Wonder if Thanksgiving really will be a forgotten holiday someday?

Oh, Wally World already has decorations up! Not the whole deal, but we've started them anyways.... I'm just waiting to get to work and hear Christmas music.

I love sending and receiving Christmas cards as much as the rest of you, so just do like everyone else suggested and pm me and we'll exchange addresses! I wonder if I still have my addresses from last year... I shall have to look!

According to tradition down here, Epiphany or "Twelfth Night" means the end of Christmas and the beginning of Mardi Gras season.

Maybe in LA you can take your lights down on Jan 7th, but often here they just get unplugged and taken down when they are freed from the snow/ice.
We do keep the tree til epiphany and then take it down.

:sled: That's my FURRY!!!! Domestic Diva!!!
I, for one, HATE Christmas!!!!! BAH HUMBUG!!! If I didn't have a 10 year old daughter who STILL believes (yes, I'm good) in Santa, I wouldn't even acknowledge Christmas as the commercial holiday that it is. Anyone have any ideas for a Grimmy (not Grinchy) person???? I love the Christian part of Christmas, I just can't stand the commercial part of Christmas, but people like Fur can even make that part FUN!!!

Love ya FUR!!!!!

LOL! Black - the new xmas decorating color!!! Forget red and green and cheery displays. Decorate like Grimmy does or quite possibly not at all!!! Sounds like something the Grinch would say....he he.

Even though the commercialisation of Christmas is a little sad to see, it can become a good thing. I personally love the atmosphere in the run-up to the day, when people get optimistic and excited. Buying people thier gifts and sending cards is also really cool!

I can't believe it's only 6 weeks away? Where DID 2004 go?!
