Streetsoldier here; we had a tornado touch down 12 miles north at Oran-Blodgett-Benton, but no reports of damage yet; a number of them (3-5) hit well to the south around Caruthersville and Pemiscot County, as well; no reports from there at this time.
My PC was "off" during all the local T-storms, and the forecast is for strong, isloated T-storms throughout this week (every day, I should have said). We had a brief 50-mph burst of wind gusts between 6 and 7 this morning, but nothing since then. Lots of broken tree limbs and garbage strewn outside, but other than that, no immediate damages.

Great to see that you are fine Bill and I hope it continues that way this week with no problems to you but please be safe if there is imminent danger in your area.

Well, if a "Fujita-beater" came here, we'd have nowhere to go except the downstairs bathroom; there isn't a single house here that has a basement (due to the silt-sand soil composition and the high water table, this is impossible), and no true shelters anywhere south of Cape Girardeau, 30 miles north of us...except for one enterprising man in a small town called Risco, who had a 2-foot-thick-walled concrete bomb shelter built elsewhere and lowered whole into a deep hole he dug in his yard years ago; the doors are naval-issue hatches.

Thank you for checking in, Annette.
I can only imagine what it's like travelling not too far away from a tornado.
Only a couple of weak ones in Massachusetts over the years and have been some not too far away (about 20 or so miles north of me) and some further to the southeast in the last three years here in Florida.
