Well...I'm a 19 year old man who likes baseball, football and weather. I was born with Spina Bifida which left me paralyzed from my waist down. I also like University of Kentucky basketball and Huey Lewis (that's the stepfatherly influence there). I don't like drivers who don't pay attention to what they're doing. And I also can't stand to be ignored. I don't need much, but I want to be noticed sometimes (IOW, the spotlight doesn't always need to be on me). Ask a couple of my friends, they know I get upset when people don't notice I'm there or they talk over my head. It's like being dumped. I'm a student at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, KY, which means a 2 hour commute home every day that I absolutely hate.
You asked who I am, well that's me.

I'm 34, at least for another 6 weeks,
, remarried with two of the best kids in the world..ages 12 and 13. I've been lucky to be a stay at home Mom, I love being there anytime my kids need me, and even when they think they don't need me! *wink. Since we've moved to California, my leisure time has really been taken up with keeping the kids and their friends entertained and busy...driving them to the beach, to the mountains, wherever the sport of the moment is played out...We are a very active family, to say the least!
In my quiet time when everyone has left the house for the day, I find myself reading books, taking long bubble baths, talking on the phone, planning our next adventure, playing around online, etc...
I love being a wife and Mom. Two very precious gifts I've been given, and I strive to do the absolute best with those gifts!

furluvcats - I am so jealous I could just spit! I always planned on being a stay-at-home mom and we just couldn't manage to produce the kids. Now I'm stuck sitting in this stupid office staring at a stupid computer with a bunch of idiots looking over my shoulder. Oh well, at least we've got the 2 fur-kids at home.

I am 49 and have been married for 28 wonderful years to a great man from New Orleans! Our 25th wedding anniversary was September 11th. We have two beautiful children, a daughter 20 who will be attending Ole MS in January and a son, 17 for two more months, who will graduate in May of next year and then off to college for him.
Even though I had always wanted to be a stay at home mom, that was not in the cards when I married a cop. Public servants are not paid well. But I did everything I could that keep me with my kids. I was the President of the Band Parents Association for 4 years and was involved in all their school activities and church activities.
I converted to Catholisim 12 years ago when my daughter made her first communion, I made mine too. Was raised a Southern Baptist, but I believe that God is God and the only difference is in the way the service is conducted. So I am a mixture of different cultures.
I love to cook and I love to eat. I am always on a diet cause when I cook it tastes good! I work for a group of Orthopedic Surgeons and have just started my 24th year with one of the doctors (our small office merged with a bigger office and now we have 14 Orthopedic Surgeons across the MS Gulf Coast). I worked in the Emergency Room at the local hospital for 7 years prior to that so have always been in the medical field and that is where I met my husband, he was pushing a stretcher while working part time for the ambulance service. Didn't even like him, thought he was a butt hole.
So, now you know me and by the way, I love Hurricane Season and my husband hates it with a purple passion.

Mostly I just enjoy the sky...and even more now that I am 58 I enjoy being around people who appreciate the sky.
I grew up and spent 50 years in north central Illinois, watching and living the best and worst that the atmosphere could show. From blinding snowstorms to a killer F4 tornado, I witnessed and observed and recorded weather through all those years.
I spent much of the last three decades involved in weather as a hobby...and encouraging weather hobbyists around the world as editor of the American Weather Observer, a monthly publication still found in the backs of drawers or boxes of memorabelia
Since 1997, when my wife and I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, my "involvement" in weather has been less prolific. Nevertheless I remain active in encouraging others who are inspired by the air around them to appreciate the value that his passion brings. How lucky we are to have this commonaility on Storm2k.
For a few more details, check out my webpage linked below.
But mostly, enjoy the ride and enjoy the company here.

As my name suggests, I love hurricanes. I have been tracking them since August 1st, 1995, where Hurricane Erin was about to hit Florida and Dean was hitting Texas. Since then, I have seen every hurricane season. I am lucky where I live to not experience them, but we get the winters. Fair trade off
Aside from weather, I love music. My favorite composers are Jimmy Buffett and Billy Joel. I write my own music, too. For the last 5 years, I have written 71 songs on the piano, and my dream is to have a music career. In the mean time, I am going to High School, and will so for the next two years. I have a girlfriend (Hi Heather), two brothers, and a family that is there 100% of the time.
In my leisure time, I enjoy playing video games, especially The Sims 2 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
My pet peeve is the adverbial usage of the adjective good.
I guess that's it.

Married, 45, 4 sons, 13, 12, 10, and 9, and a 21-yr old stepdaughter. Married 14 years. Civil Engineer, designs public and private water and wastewater infrastructure. Avid bicyclist: played around with racing back when I was single, but I wasn't dedicated enough. If I have a prized posession, it is my bike. (link to article)

Took many years off after getting married and having kids, but I am starting to get back into it. My interest in the weather began as "Am I going to get rained on if I go on a bike ride." I am interested in learning anything from anyone or any place. I'll listen to fools if they have an interesting story to tell. I am mostly interested in the physical sciences. I actually enjoyed college physics and thermodynamics. I am not into trying to forecast the weather, but with the science background, I find weather systems fascinating and try to understand the science that is involved in what makes them work. I am also interested in history and wish I had more time to read. We are the proud owners of two pit bull terriers, who are the biggest babies you ever saw.

I'm a 22 year old male who just started graduate school at Florida State this fall semester for my Master's in Meteorology. (You can see my post in the Greetings and Stats forum for slightly more info. on that). I leave and breathe weather. I don't really know the exact reason. It must be in my genes or something (although none of my relatives that I know have "the weather bug").
I was known as "the weatherman" back as far as the 4th grade. During my senior year in high school, I appeared on the closed circuit tv morning announcements and gave a weather forecast every day.
Outside of weather, I am a huge Star Trek fanatic, a huge Spongebob Squarepants fanatic, and I also enjoy old television shows like I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Andy Griffith, and Leave it to Beaver. I also enjoy watching baseball and occasionally college football. Finally, I also enjoy making other people smile or laugh.
