Yup, Joshua you read them and indeed comment on them from time to time, Joshua. I have constantly been saying I don't expect scores of comments on them; and I haven't been "able to" look at the number of views for because of my uncaring, ongoing and frequent updating of some of the information.

I see no reason to do them on as often or at all anymore with such a quiet board.

For some reason I don't care about the how many views there are. I am quite frankly (as I mentioned above) getting tired of it.

I mentioned that it's logical to wonder how the membership views my work. I won't have any reason to ask the opinions of the board if I am not longer going to do them.

I haven't even been participating much here, anyway.

Bolded that one part because of this reason:

The board is so quiet right now because the hurricane season is over. Once June 1st rolls around again, it will pick back up.

(Well the EPAC season starts 2 weeks earlier but no one cares about the EPAC anyway...)

Of course... but this board shouldn't be as quiet as it is between December through mid May. Scores of members abandon the board (the non-hurricane weather forums and this forum).

I have to agree with you. I still don't get why people leave and only come back between June 1st and November 30th (or even less than that).

Its sad. I guess its good that I come from an area that is affected by both hurricanes and severe winter weather. So I am here alot on occasion. If you really don't want to do it Tom I suggest you stop, because you are not forced to contribute anything to the stats if you don't want. Sorry the bored has disappointed you, but i can easily see why it has. WHERE IS EVERYONE :(!

Tom... I don't read the stats much so I don't care if you keep doing them or not. Do what you want to do.

I log into the site quite a bit... but haven't had much to discuss because the board activity has been so low.

I agree with Tom, hence why I've barely been posting the past few months (literally).

And it will be quieter if you leave it. This site was initially set up as a mainly tropical board and that is a major part of what has grown this site to what it is. WE continue to try and grow the Winter weather portion of this site and are IMHO doing a good job of it.

This is a HIGH QUALITY WEATHER SITE WITH A LOT OF VERY GOOD AMATUER AND PROFESSIONAL METS INVOLVED. Your leaving won't affect me one way or the other, but I do have to ask, why were you here in the first place if you are leaving just because it is quieter than during tropical season? Seems to me you are looking for a reason to leave. No one needs a reason to stay on or leave this site. Just do it if that is your intention.

I never said I was going to leave.

Those that were here during the Hurricane Season seem to have no idea this is a all round weather community, despite it saying so at the top of each page.

Maybe we are doing something "wrong," i.e. upsetting the many members that joined between May and September.

There's a fair amount of folks who frequent the US Wx and Winter Wx Forums, too...it's not the "end of the world" once the Atlantic and EPAC seasons are over.

Tom, I don't think storm2k is "quiet" - personally, I don't have enough time to read most of the posts as it is. Of course I can't sit here all day, but if it was even more active like it was when the tropics were hot, there would just be more posts that I couldn't get to. I think storm2k rocks and is growing at an awesome pace. As I've always said though, quality is better than quantity. There may be other boards that have more posts on any given day but frankly, I don't care how many times members fart each day or how they smell. ;)

It's the holiday season!!!! People are traveling, having company over, running errands they don't normally do, shoveling ice (that's my situation), trying to find my driveway again, enjoying a break with my teen daughters who are off school this week, etc.

First the weeks leading up to Dec. 25th are crazy, hectic, wonderful, fun, exhausting, then the week after until January 2nd, things are still not back to normal.

This is just my home and my family, but if a small family of 4 is this busy, I imagine many other members are just as busy.

I predict posts will pick up after January 2nd. People will WANT to return to normal again!

As far as stats, we've been down this road so many times before. I don't mean to offend you Tom, please know that I'd never do that intentionally, I just grow weary of having this debate as much as we have. I think the core majority of posters very much appreciates your efforts - they go above and beyond the call of duty here. The amount of time you put into them is staggering to most of us. I wish we could have this discussion just once though and be done with it. Again, that is not meant to offend you.

I think the stats are cool Tom...and I respect the time and effort you have to put in...however...and I offer this because you ask...I think they are slightly......overdone. You know....too much of a good thing (in most cases) can be bad.
