Good music is good music...whatever it is.

These days, I am listening to contemporary country, Broadway, and what is very loosely termed contemporary light rock.

Of all of those things...I truly love to hear Broadway by Broadway artists...live and in person. I can never get enough of the talent that those folks bring to the stage.

On the other hand...there are some fun and good country artists who grab my attention too.

Have phased in and out of contemporary Christian and light classical...still can't sink my teeth into jazz...although Norah Jones is tugging at my ears.

Hey...and Michelle Branch is a native of Sedona. How could I not like her music?

I agree with you, WidreMann. I grew up listening to The Weather Channel Local Forecast Music. The late 80s and early 90s was their best, even still they have some good selections. I should of mentioned this in one of my above posts. :D

Its a toss up...and depends on my mood and who I'm with. When I'm alone, and want to "listen" to some serious music..its any of the Progressive rock bands from the 70's like Yes, Pink Floyd, ELP...etc.... When I don't care if hear every sacred note..its Country for me. On occasion...I'lll drift to some classical...sometimes sliding into it first with a little Moody Blues.

If I'm feeling like raising hell...it's Hank Jr. Anybody hear his live acoustic version of "America will Survive"? Download it on Kazaa...it's great!

Hell......I think I like it alll!!!!! No....what am I saying...I HATE RAP. But...I guess I didn't need to say that since that doesn't qualify as music anyway!

Country, Rock & Roll, Oldies and some heavy metal - like Metallica.

Anyone catch their program on MTV last night - tribute to Metallica - very interesting.

I actually listen to all kinds of music - makes you appreciate to be blessed with hearing so we can hear all these kinds of music.

Metallica? Ticka? Really? I wouldn't of thunk that :) I like all kinds except rap and stuff like that. Not so into jazz either. I like 80's and 90's alternative, country (Tim McGraw, Brooks and Dunn and the country oldies) . I think it is funny that the music I grew up on is now making it's way on New Oldies stations.

LOL Stormraiser - you can say that I got hooked on them from my hubby. He has always been into heavy metal - he's a diehard Metallica fan - so I just started listening to them. I am going to their concert in August here at Reliant Stadium - its going to be interesting!!!!

Ditto Amanzi, except I would put Floyd first. I can't seem to get enough of them. I think Roger Waters is one of the most gifted lyricists of our time.

Heck I'm putting that CD in right now. Off with The Weather Channel.
