Is the e-mail I got from Storm2k tonight at 9.22pm related to this?

This hacker should be reported. He is not very smart, his IP should be tracked down, then his parents and ISP should be contacted by the police and some preventative action taken.

There is no excuse for kids to do these kinds of exploits. The kid should be severely punished, grounded for 6 months and the computer trashed and the kid forbidden to play with computers or the Internet for a year or more, whatever the heck it takes until the kid learns that this behavior will not be tolerated.

If the kid does not learn then he should be thrown into the harshest military school possible. If that does not work then he should be thrown into prison for about 75 years with the general population.

I'm sorry folks but I will be making my living on the Internet, and I do not have the time for this nonsense, nor will I ever clear time on my schedule for this nonsense! Parents need to crack down on the children!!!! If parents can not or will not police their kids then the state system should, because there are people doing business on the Internet and we have absolutely NO TIME for stunts like these!!! If the kids will not learn and/or will not be taught then we have prisons. Our laws need to be severely toughened up with no mercy!!!!!

That's my position on this matter and I will NEVER BUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In defense of kids, like Coppertop and Brent, what makes ya think it's necessarily a "kid," Jeb? Although I agree, even if it's a 28-year old man, we should tell his parents. :D

Yes it is. Please delete any e-mail from STORM2K that you may have received. I have looked closely at the e-mail taht was sent and it is harmless but it was generated by the hacker. Sorry for the problems!

Anyone who hijacks a site must be a kid. In their mind.

I mean to be a real hacker you'd have to know a lot of programming languages, OS (Linux varieties, Win NT, cisco router stuff) and then you could really mess things up. But why? Its much more satisfying to someone who can crash a network to run a network properly. Its much more difficult.

Script kiddies are the worst. A monkey can press a button. A puppy can do a trick. But both monkeys and puppies will stop doing something if they get scared or swatted. Teenage boys are dumber than puppies and monkeys.

I am a teenage boy come to think of it.

But no script kiddying or hacking for me. I know some python, c++, javascript and that is about it.

Brent, all you have to do is get 1,000 computers and have them connected to the internet. Then you go into dos, type ping 66.98.251.192 and you will probably crash the site.

Thats what goes for hacking now a days. *rolls eyes*

Of course script kiddies get those thousand computers by loading viruses on them.

I'm going to report this arse through his domain registrar but unfortunately there's not much else we can do. I just hope that in the future someone pays him back the same way...

When you can't get in to Storm2K, just come to Chat. That's what a few of us did this afternoon just to assure ourselves that it wasn't just "us" with the problems and to get our "fix" of course.

For some reason I was able to get into the site via IE for a while after my Firefox browser did the hijack thing.

Just went through the templates and there is no quick reply box. But I'm guessing that was Chad and MF's doing so I have no problem otherwise. Anyways, as Eric has said, this is aggravating as hell. :x :grr:
