Actually, most likely scenario is that it whizzes right by us and gives us something cool to look at in the sky. Right now it's going to come close enough to be a naked eye visible object and move fast enough across the sky for the motion to be perceptible in real time.

Furthur studies have to be carry out before alarming the public. As we know if the public is told that there will be an asteroid strike in 2029, everyone will start to panic. Let's wait and see what happens!
