Still too dark to access the damage but I can hear the creek just behind the house roaring........Eric, Sedona, Oak Creek has been TOTALLY devestated, I was just watching The Weather Channel, my God, those POOR people in Oak Creek and Cornville, 2 RV parks were totally wiped out  AND there's yet 2 MORE systems on the horizon BOTH with MORE RAIN  we need the moisture but DANG IT....WHY are these systems SO WARM???

Dennis

I saw a news video last night showing the RV's floating in the water. :(

Yes Stephanie, it's BAD....I mean, yeah, we got flooded but those poor people in those 2 RV parks lost EVERYTHING. Michelle and I saved our house by hauling load after load of dirt into the wee hours and building dikes around the house, THOSE people didn't stand a chance!

NOW....I was watching the local news a second ago AND, the next system tomorrow night into Saturday IS going to be ALL rain and THEN....the system for Mon thru Thurs is even BIGGER YET, let's HOPE and PRAY that some cold air is introduced into the system, if not

Dennis do you know if there is any cold air in the forecast???

I truly hope and pray you guys get the snow pack you need to ease the drought without all this terrible flooding. Lets keep our fingers and toes crossed, heck I'll even cross my eyes for you, in the hopes that the next systems quickly turn over to snow.

Oh, Dennis - I remember that winding road from Flagstaff
down to Sedona, through Oak Creek Canyon - so narrrow....
saw it on TWC - winding and narrow on a GOOD day -
would not want to do it on a bad, rainy day!

Take care, my friend! I'm praying that those raindrops
turn to snow, indeed!

Dennis, I'm jumping in late as usual, but I hope you make it through this. Is this ruining your anniversary plans?

Sorry to hear about so much loss of property...and now the two lives in Prescott. Hope you can hang on and ride it out. The next storms may be wet rather than white, but I doubt either will bring another 5" of rain to the high country.

Prayers are with you and all those under threat.

I've had 1/3" and finished the year at over 10" for two years in a row. But no risk where we are beyond the usual street flooding.

Take care and if the waters get too high, head to higher ground still. You are surrounded by that too!

Yes indeed, those 2 gentlemen in Prescott, what a tragedy. The water has all but receded and the creek, river levels are back to normal. Saw on the news this morning that some reserviors on the Salt River chain have opened up the flood gates causing flooding down there in Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa....river beds that have been dry since 1993. Let's HOPE and PRAY that these next systems are cold but it doesn't look like it

Prayers and thoughts with ALL who have been affected! :( :(
((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))

Mother Nature's EXTREMES...drought/wild fire season...blizzards...floods...the tsunamis...it's difficult to try to understand at times why these kinds of events unfold affecting so many innocent lives....
