I agree 100%. I'm sitting here thinking of what MY mother's reaction would have been had I tried to wear something like that! I would not have made it out the house alive!

My daughter is prom dress looking right now! She just laughs when she sees a dress like that. I think I might know which company has that dress and they've got a few other risque ones.

Well, I know for a fact my daughter(s) would never consider wearing a dress like this! My 17 year old actually prefers old fashioned vintage looking ones. She'd love to find the real thing too - a vintage dress straight out of the 70s...dang, I didn't keep mine!!!! And my 14 year old is a tomboy, hates to wear dresses. She would be most disgusted by this dress, of that I have no doubt either. She's only worn 2 dresses in the past 7 years - First Communion and Confirmation. She jokes the next time will be her wedding.

I would imagine my daughter's school would never allow a girl to walk into the prom wearing that dress. She would be escourted off the property. Any school administration with a good set of morals in place, would do the same.

I still have my prom dress from 1978. What size is your daughter? If she's a pencil thin size 2/3 waif....I've got just the dress for her.

Jeny - why thank you. The daughter who refuses to wear dresses, is that size and probably smaller (she wears size 16 boy's jeans from Old Navy, yes you read that right!). Her sister is between a 5 and 7. I think her last prom dress was a 9, b/c it was the last one left and looked vintage. I didn't think it looked big on her, it actually looked nicer b/c it wasn't skin tight. Wish we could take you up on it but she'd have to give up food for a month. Your size then sounds about what I was - I was pencil thin too! So if I had kept mine, she wouldn't be able to fit into them anyway. One was the bridesmaid dress I wore in my brother's wedding - remember doing that back then?

I liked that 60's look...LONG, straight hair, tiny postage-stamp skirts, matching knee-high boots, tight-fitting turtlenecks, and a floppy "Andy Capp" hat...
