I was thinking the same exact thing.
Me too!

Hey Amanzi... I feel for you, I really do. My family and I have had a terrible experience with green card/work visas.. practically panick stations and tears throughout. It's been terrible. My sister to this day is still waiting for her green card, it's been 8 years!!!! Coriolis.. you hit the nail right on the head!! Sometimes I wonder if the best way to live in this country is to do it illegally...oh man... I get so angry!! We actually wrote to the President last year about it!! It got that desperate!! So Amanzi, I'm with you there. Keep us informed okay....Best of luck.

Thanks guys
cyclone I had no idea you had gone through the whole visa thingy.. Well Im not even thinking about the green card just yet, we can only try for that if we get our extension on our L1b approved
That is going to be another whole story.
JQ dont cross your eyes to much, if the wind blows they will stay like that!
SF your a star my friend, just take care of yourself and your dad.
John, the INS is not even the INS anymore it is now some other department that got incorporated into the department of homeland security, which is one of the reasons for so much paper work delay. LOL I wont unleash you on them just yet
Thanks each and everyone of you for your prayers... I know they will be answered

Hi Amanzi...yeah it's been a nightmare, we moved out here in 1992 and we've had every possible visa you can think of, it's just been really messy lately because my Mum and Dad became US citizens back on July 4th 2002 (nice day for that to happen) and they told us that my sister would be bumped to the top of the list for a permanent visa / green card. Well we're still waiting for her to be even selected ... oh it's crazy! I hate it! I don't mean to make you scared, we're actually an unusual case, but still....it's so frustrating!!!

Once again the support and friendship I have gotten from you guys is so uplifting and warming.
Cyclone, I would have thought that as your parents are citizens it would be no problem for your sister (according to the law on paper anyway)? It is very frustrating and annoying to say the least not knowing about your future, especially in my case, because South Africa is really the last place in the world I want to go back to. The violent crime and rape has reached epidemic proportions and I will just keep my mouth shut about the corruption with the law enforcement, unemployment levels and the HIV\Aids problems.
Thanks for the prayers peeps, and please keep them coming.
Bill, I will email you soon
Promise!
