God bless each of you...thank you so very much!!! :)

I've had a very sad and stressful day, but after a long prayer and reading your uplifting thoughts on our behalf, I feel totally renewed in my spirit tonight.

Aunt Millie suffered the stroke because her heart isn't beating fast enough (she was diagnosed with CHF several years ago, wears nitro patches)...her cardiologist has recommended a pacemaker, but aunt Millie has balked; is afraid of the surgery.

She'd already become despondent in recent weeks due to her blindness, and is very despondent tonight; crying and saying she doesn't want to live anymore, has nothing to live for....I cried on the way home from the hospital this evening. She's always been such a perky person with a very positive outlook on life (has beaten cancer twice), and to see her no longer wanting to live is very disheartening :(

I'll be okay....thanks to my faith in God and wonderful friends like you. Please keepmy family, especially aunt Millie in your prayers. I'm praying for good news (the doctors are considering letting her go home tomorrow...see how she does. The proposal for the pacemaker was in order to prevent another stroke, possibly a far more severe one).

Thanks and May God Bless each of you! :)

Aunt Millie needs you more than ever now. These are the days when her family means most...even though her words and actions may seem otherwise.

That you are okay...and that you appreciate your aunt, well those things are a way for her to find the peace she is looking for.

We certainly pray for you and Aunt Millie during these difficult days.

Patience and love will get you through this.

Perry........I'm sure your Aunt Millie knows how fortunate she is to have you for a caring nephew! Your patience, sensitivity, and dedication are wonderful gifts for her. Age is something each of us have to "deal" with......and there can be lots of challenging changes!

When my own father was suffering (cancer).......and now my mother(Alzhiemers)...... I made sure there were no "I-wish-I-would-haves" concerning my relationship with them. You're doing the right thing, my friend, but please keep yourself healthy too! I'm just starting to take my own advice on this!.......p
