In the Florida Keys, we don't have a local television station. So, one must rely on the Miami stations to inform the local population of what's going on. But like our local newspaper, Miami television news is nothing more than a joke.

Honestly I tend to use the online tools available to me to come to my own conclusions for my area since the local news mets are so hit and miss ( no offense to the pro's) Things haven't been the same since my beloved Chris Kuyper left my area..... I loved that man...lol

I made a page of links with some of my area radars/water vapor/sat and 6-7 forecast sites and then I go from there... For Redding Intellicast seems to be most accurate....

Did I mention its pouring right now...? Wow what a weather change in 72 hours....

I believe this thread is for our favorite local news channels in general, not local meteorologists from our local area. :)

Hey Ronnie...don't worry about it.
This is OFF TOPIC -- which means anything goes....and Tom is NEITHER an administrator OR moderator. What you said was just fine....don't let him upset you.

I know what you mean about pathetic tv forecasters....it's the same way here in Atlanta, especially on weekends....the pits. I was more competent at age 19 than most I see on Atlanta tv on weekends..

BTW Ronnie.....your website is totally awesome! Congratulations!! :)

All meteorologists try there best, even if they are amateurs.

Sorry Perry. I was just making a friendly comment about this thread. I by no means want to start a problem. I come here as often because I really love the friendships we have made with one common interest, meteorology.

That's good to hear Tom...because Ronnie is a good friend of mine. We've known each other for more than two years, and she's a very nice lady....not to mention the webmaster of a fantastic storm related website.

Here in central Florida I watch Bay News 9. I get most of my world news though online.:):)

I voted Other because I watch KCAL9, KTLA5, KABC7, KCBS2, and KNBC4 as my main sources of news and weather.

I hope I voted for "Other" -- I like to watch all the Orlando channels, not so much the CBS affiliate; and don't generally watch the Fox News at 10 PM.

Bay News 9 must be a Tampa (Bay) station. Channel 9 here is the ABC affiliate from Orlando.
