I'll say it again... you all are the greatest people ever.
((((HUGS)))) to EVERYONE and THANKS YOU for the kind words and prayers!
The divorce process hasn't been too bad but the separation part was hard because of the fights and his name calling temper tantrums and breaking some of my stuff. Tracy's situation is alot worse.

I'm sorry to hear of the emotional trauma in your life. Divorce hurts because no matter what happened, it always felt like a personal failure to me. At least you can control some of what occurs there. On the other hand, the imminent loss of your friend is something you cant control. I'm sure you're feeling lost and desperate. A good long cry works sometimes. Spend as much time as you can with your friend. And remember that time heals all wounds.

Aw rats, HG!! I'm so sorry to hear both of these bad news, will definitely pray for you and for Tracey. And will hope you can record her songs while she has the energy. You've been given some excellent advice here, about taking care of yourself physically, having a good cry when you need, expecting to take a while to feel 'normal again after divorce, etc. What a wonderful friend Tracey has in you, I can just imagine what it means to her having you there on weekends!!! Hang in there , we are here to support you, sweetie! {{{{{{{{{{{hug}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Mary, I'm so sorry about you having to deal with so much all at once. I'm glad you have your brother there for support, and you know you'll always have an army of nutty weathernerd friends here who care and support you anytime. Hugs and prayers for you and Tracy.
What an awesome picture! I'm sure your friendship means the world to her!

Crying happy tears right now because you guys are so great!!!! But i have to quit crying like this at work!!
I didn't even have a chance to tell you guys that my mom had a hip replacement on Feb 16th and i went up to Michigan for that too!
She (Thank the Lord) is doing well and is in a Physical Therapy Rehab place for another week or so.

HG - Mary, I'm so sorry about all the things you are dealing with and although I've never been married (or divorced), I know how hard a breakup is but you will persevere. You are a very strong woman, and with the help of all of your friends from here and such, you will get thru this stronger and even better.
I'm really sorry about Tracy and my prayers are always with u, and her. Mary, you are a wonderful person, and a true friend and I wish u all the best. I'm very happy to hear that your mother is doing well. you hang in there, and you are definitely a true friend and glad u are there for Tracy. I couldn't think of a better person to be her friend than u...

Okay there Donna.....just WHO are you calling a nutty weathernerd? LOL Just kidding.....but that is what we are. Or as my family calls us - I'll say I read about this or that....they'll ask, on your wx boards Mom? With a nice roll of the eyes too, a few snickers too. When I sigh and say yes - they say we're ALL wx nerds, even me!
But lean on us Mary. Mike is right, I can tell, you are a strong person and you will get thru this. We'll help you along the way.
Hugs and tissues a comin'
Mary

You hang in there, HG! SF is right - you're strong - and, remember - God never
dishes out more than he thinks you can handle. You're at this time and place
in life for a reason - you're detaching yourself from someone, and, another is
leaning on you. There's a crossroad coming, and, you're making some choices.
You gotta big 'ole hug from me, too, gal!

You all have so much faith in me, more than i have in myself but i will pray for strenght and tell myself every day i am strong and i can handle this stuff that is going on.
Tracey is supposed to come to my place tomorrow afternoon sometime and spend the weekend.
i am taking Friday off so we can sit at my computer and type up all of her lyrics and make chord sheets...She has a stack about 2" high....
(((((MAJOR HUGS TO ALL OF YOU))))))

Mary, it's really important to get all those feelings out. Sometimes we worry about being soooooo strong that we sock a lot of pain deep inside and it hurts us even more. If you can't handle all the stuff that going on - that's OK. That's why you have friends and family that love you and will support you. I'm so glad you have a long weekend with Tracey. More (((HUGS)))
Take care my friend

Pburgh, I've made an appointment with my doctor for tomorrow and will tell him what's going on.. he may have to give me something for my nerves, but will leave that up to him.
i don't want to have to rely on pills to get through this.... i haven't so far, but at this point i think i need some help, especially the crying at work is getting out of control.

coriolis wrote:HG, you and your friend need to write a country western song. You definitely have all the ingredients for a kickin cry in your beer song.
We're one step ahead of you coriolis! You should hear the songs we are going to be recording.. they are Tracey's newer lyrics and a few older songs we didn't record back in 1999.
Her song "Let's Go Down to Jacksonville" definately has a Lynyrd Skynyrd sound to it as does "I Broke Buddy's Fiddle" which is a true story about this time when Tracey sat on this guy's fiddle that he had laid down on the couch! I laugh every time we practice it.
Trace called last night and won't be able to come down this weekend, due to family coming to visit her. However, our recording session has been rescheduled for the following weekend.
