I've been meaning to ask. Do you have an English background? It is just you seem to know about all these programmes and you have the cross of St George as your logo.[/quote]

English born and raised, I married an American so I am now living over here but still proud to fly the flag even after the mess in Germany recently!! I had the Cross flying outside my house for the WC...I kept getting asked if I worked for the Red Cross!!

Father Ted did make it over here. There is a TV channel that shows a lot of UK shows Red Dwarf, Thin Blue Line, Blackadder and Father Ted to name a few.

I wasn't.....but I am getting used to the stupid questions. The best was when I was asked where I was from. I replied England and someone came back with "England...wow...you speak great English!"

Not much you can say to that.

I think this quote from The Simpsons best sums this up.

[Homer]Why do I need to learn English? I'm never going to go to England![/Homer]

Stumbled upon a critique of The Office/US with comparisons made to the British version. I included reader comments.

Accurate review I think.

Our family has decided we like both versions, the British version has won our hearts though but we're still into the US version. So don't worry. Jim and Pam are my new Ross and Rachel couple I often say.... ;-). Basically we're trying to separate the two shows in our minds now. I can also understand why The Office/UK was critically acclaimed and much loved.

Right now we're watching Season 2 deleted scenes and watching all the episodes over again before returning them to the library.

After seeing the hilarious deleted scenes, my daughter announced - okay, we now have to buy these ya know....LOL

Just thought I'd share.

Regarding the American version of The Office:

Here's a promo for Season 3, about Jim and Pam. My daughter said it was cheesy but what does she know? LOL Oh I'll admit it, I got pulled in.....never have I rooted for a fictional couple more, since Ross and Rachel.

Enjoy, Office fans!

Anyone catch the Office last night? Office merger! Love triangle! Disention....

My favorite moments?

1. "Lazy Scranton"

2. Pam jumping into Jim's arms.

3. Stanley's disgusted look at the new guy......hilarious moment, no words needed!
