I got a better idea. Let give scum like this the death penalty so they cannot ever harm anyone again. We need to protect the innocent instead of trying to "help" or "treat" human garbage like this; the only way to do that is to remove them from society permanently by depriving them of their life.

Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I always think people deserve a second chance. Where I live, criminals are always checked if they can somehow be helped (and most of them can). The ones that can be helped are put in a special kind of prison where they recieve all sorts of psychiatric treatments. This treatment helps about 85% of the patients, who can then step back into the society without committing any crimes. It's another way of protecting the innocent society and taking care of 'human garbage'.

I think that by killing a person, even someone who did something as terrible as this guy, one is no better then the killer himself. One should always stand above something like killing someone and try to look for a more civilized way of handling sick people like this boy. But that's just my humble opinion.

Like I said -- kill 'em all. Then they can't kill again.

But seriously, what I am talking about is not attempting to "cure" them (like Yarrah said), but to understand what drives some to react with rage and violence while others can cope with jealousy without resorting to murder. Why are some of us able to control our anger? Why do others go off and maim, rape, kill, dismember, behead, and whatever else?

Most of us know -- if you kill somebody, you're probably going to die for it. But for those who react with their hearts (emotionally) rather than their brains (intellectually) and kill someone in the heat of the moment, what's wrong with trying to find out why? And by "why," I don't mean the motive. I mean, what drove them to lose control and get to that point? What possessed them to stop thinking and just react with animalistic rage? Same as what motivates a sexual predator or a serial killer?

Why not attempt to find out warning signs and driving factors so others can be stopped before someone falls victim to their actions? Maybe Joe Q. Public hasn't killed yet, but if a friend knows what to look out for, he can stop Joe from crossing that line in the heat of an argument or break-up.
