That's how it was back during my schooling years, too.

I can hardly wait..My three kids are driving me crazy... :grr:

I know exactly what you mean! I went through that with my three when they were growing up, now I am going through it again with a hyper AD grandson who is getting on my last nerve with his Mr Knowit all attitude. It wouldn't be so bad if he was in his teens but I am talking about a first grader to be.

I cannot wait for UF to start again because I'm killing myself out here in the sun framing houses. I think we start towards the end of August. Classrooms, books, and college life, please save me...

College is wonderful! Personally I don't think its something to be that nervous about. My freshman year of college was easier than my senior year of high school. Just study a bit and have fun not getting counted in attendence.

One of the many benefits of living in Minnesota! Isn't it still a state law that school can't start until after Labor Day?

Hmmm . . . I work in a law office . . . maybe I will look it up myself ROFL.

Dual enrollment is great, take advantage of it the best you can. In senior year I took six AP classes and that was harder than college has ever been. Get those credits while they're free.

I would never have thought that the stereotyped Californian image of a hot blonde Hollywood chick meeting a muscular "cool" boy with sunglasses would signal intelligence.

And I'm sure that Florida contains a plethora of bright prodigies waiting to graduate from High School, two of which have screennames "HurricaneHunter914" and "fact789" on a particular forum about the exciting realm of weather.

AP = advanced placement. Its a high school class curriculum where at the end you take a test and depending on your score receieve college credit (also depending on the university's policy). It's a very good way to gain college experience and learn how to write and study before college.
