Prayers from NC! I know how it feels, my grandfather was in a similar scenerio back on October 31, 2001, kept trying to say "hi" to everyone before he passed on at 8:05 PM I wish I could forget that night...not the memory of him...just that particular night...I remember the brightness of the full moon as I went outside to get a blanket for my then 1 year old sister, coming back inside and setting it down and walking into the living room as his heart gave out...then quickly peeking my head back into the kitchen, looking to see the time...I hope all fairs well for you guys...I might be losing my grandmother here soon also...:(

My prayers join the others here...it's so hard to watch a loved one suffer....but that sure doesn't make loosing them any easier. My Mother has been in an Alzhiemers facility for almost 9 years...my daily prayer is "God's will be done".......p

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It is very difficult saying good bye but I am glad you had a chance to do that. Hang in there - it is never easy. Remember her not as she is now but how she used to be. You will miss her and it will get easier - but you will always miss her. I still miss mine and we lost her in 1982.

God Bless,
Dotty

I know what it's like to lose a Grandmother (I was 3 years old at the time).

So so sorry to hear your grandma passed away last night!

I'm sooo sorry. I lost my grandfather on March 31, 2004. I know what it's like to lose a grandparent.
But my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family now.

Very sorry to hear of your grandma's death. I'm praying for you and your family to get through this difficult time. I know it sounds cliche' but it's true. I lost my maternal grandma when I was five (don't have much of a memory of her) and my paternal grandma my junior year of high school. My dad's mother and I had a strained and difficult relationship. I only wish I had gotten the opportunity to tell her I loved her, regardless of her faults.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have lost my maternal grandfather and on the paternal side both grandparents had passed before I was 1 year old so I never knew them. My dad passed away in 1996 and my mom passed away on the last day of 2003. My maternal grandmother is still living but is gstting into the last stages of senility.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

The funeral was beautiful.

After the reception(?) in the hall, the immediate family went to the cemetary to say goodbye. She was cremated, and was in a beautiful ern. My grandmas most favourite place was Las Vegas, so my Aunt Sylvia took a small amount of her ashes, and is going to let them free in Las Vegas in a few weeks when she goes down. Sounds gross probably, but my grandma would love that.

I know that your Grandmother would love it if it is something she would done if still alive.
