K-9 dog also :(

I hope they catch that scumbag.

And put him in a body bag... :grr:

Or even better, let the other inmates lay a SMACKDOWN on him and then some...

Inmates...He would probably be a hero for killing a cop...Body bag sounds better to me..

Yesterday the Colorado shootings were all over the news...today, I havent heard anything from CNN on it...news information, other than the news articles, are hard to find...this sucks, he killed two cops and wounded another :( (K-9 counts as a cop IMHO...dont know how the charges would be set up for that though...) I figured once I heard the K-9 was shot that he was dead as they will not back down even while injured, prayers out to all affected...hope they "find" him with a bullet in his head... :grrr: what is wrong with society today?

It appears that the person that was caught is not the person the cops are searching for. Just someone who resembled the supsect. The new person was wearing blue denim shorts and a white T shirt.

And they were just about to bus all the kids to Victory Church for pickup but now they are back on complete lockdown...

From what I am hearing this morning - they are still searching for the scumbag. I was speechless yesterday when I heard about this on the news. I feel so badly for the officer's families. I also heard that the schools are closed. Haven't had time to verify that yet though.

On a side note - hubby went to a friend's shop yesterday (gun shop) and his friend's wife called him and was telling him about this and the description of the guy. From what hubby overheard - sounds like the same guy that came in to the shop last week and wanted to buy assault weapons. Said he started filling out the required form and had checked yes to three of the several questions they ask and was told - you might as well leave now - we aren't selling you anything!

Verified - Kathleen High School and McKeel Academy are both closed today.

Dizzyfish,
Please ask your hubby to call the Polk Sherrif's office and tell them what he overheard at that shop. Better yet, have your husband ask the friend to call and tell the Sherrif about the guy who wanted the assault weapons. We have lost a very good friend and fellow member of the department when he was shot. Crossing guards are also employees of the Sherrif's Departmment here in Polk and other counties in the state.
