Miss Mary if you think I-75 is a a trip and j thinks 85 is a nightmare then you two should take a drive down 400 during rush hour.

I believe you were on 285 Miss Mary. That interstate is a nightmare.

Linda - as much fun as that sounds, I think I'll pass - LOL!!!

We could discuss Chicago interstates!!! And tieups at toll booths. Both a major pain! I'm never behind the wheel while driving thru Chicago on our way to visit Jim's sister, who lives in Barrington. If I had my way, I'd go west out of Indy and up north somehow to Barrington. Bypassing that entire Chicago nightmare! But AAA takes us right thru Chicago and hubby thinks AAA is almost gospel ya know.....if they say this is the best route, it is the only route. Ugh!

I-75 is 7 lanes thru Atlanta b/c of the HOV lane... why is it only such on weekdays?? I traveled thru ATL 6 times (3 RT) and can honestly agree... the entire thing is a nightmare esp. in summer, I saw an hour long jam on the way from Daytona in june... it took us so long to get out of there...

I-75 from Atlanta down to the Florida Turnpike is dominated by 18-wheelers. They think they own that interstate. If you are traveling the speed limit in the third lane and they come flying up behind you, they EXPECT you to move. I have been told by the Florida Hwy. Patrol that truckers are supposed to use the far left lane and the third lane for passing. Ask me if I move out of their way... UM NOPE!!

A Lot of The Drivers

in Sierra Vista are from the Disney Cartoons. They do exactly what they please-even if it means making a right turn from the LEFT TURN LANE on a road. Saw a LOL (Little Old Lady) highballing it up the wrong side of Willcox Drive which has a median-something alerted me and kept me from pulling out onto the road even though I had absolutely no reason to suspect anyone coming from the right. She stayed there past two intersections until she snapped out of her trance. I have on video (accidentally as I was videotaping a storm) an incident where a driver turning right off the Hiway 90 Bypass south onto 7th Street turns south into the NORTHBOUND LEFT TURN LANE on 7th!

Oh, Lord - I wonder how these folks around here managed to pass
their driving exams! When I worked in Home Health, quite a few
years ago, I was almost killed by IDIOT drivers (there 'ya go,
Miss Mary), every other day! When you drive 100 miles a day,
you learn to be on the lookout for the OTHER guy, at all times, and,
always assume they are going to pull some assinine move(s)!
