Mardi Gras

Ahhh... it was fun but glad it's over now.
Hope you had fun over here in our fair city, Janie!
As we usually do, we left town for the last days of the carnival season. Our last ball was Friday night. So, the kids enjoyed "the big parade with dragons" (Mystics of Time), and then we hit the road. We took the throws we caught- moon pies, beads, stuffed animals, cups, and serpentine-- to out-of-town family. Joe Cain Day and Fat Tuesday are fun for adults but just aren't so good for little ones, in our opinion.
It's a good thing Mardi Gras only comes once a year: I feel like I'm still suffering from sleep deprivation (the Mardi Gras balls last til 1 or 2AM and my DH likes to party till the very end!).
