Man...this place has been DEAD!
Moderator: S2k Moderators
it really died when the server was switched. OH! And I still have trouble getting in every once in awhile even though I changed my bookmark - come up with the dreaded not found page. Cleared cookiese, cahce, etc. and still get it. Just keep coming back and eventualy get in - can take an hour or more sometimes.

I think that most of us do remember that there are lulls between our two most acitve seasons, Winter and Hurricane. The Winter has been a dud for those of us in the East so you didn't really see the ramp up of posts about an impending "doomsday" storm as usual.
Computer service issues happen as well. I think that those that don't come around as often may have missed the multitude of announcements that Marshall made before the switch occurred. We had about as much notice of what was to happen as the rest of the members. Life happens.

I'm still on life support down here, so I'm not outta here. I lurk most every day, but as to clickin' the keyboards, work demands have put callouses on my fingertips!
I came across a weather friend from Florida this week on another site...hadn't heard from him since the 90's, so I invited him on over here. I'm contributing to radio meteorologist Ed Phillip's next printed almanac coming out in June, and I hope to mention Storm2k in there so we can stir up some more Arizona fans here.
Like Breeze, life is about change and the changes sometimes strain our tiring resources, but I always ALWAYS count this place as home away from home.
You KNOW the door is always open!

Breeze - I can't log on during work anymore, so my time is limited here as well. With the nice weather coming around hopefully soon, I'll be outside enjoying the sunshine and putting the big, bad, SAD away for another winter.

Though we may not be "online", it's in our hearts.

Well, Dennis apparently this place isn't so dead afterall! LOL Look at all that have surfaced! If not the actual long lost wx pal, the mere mention of their name brings a smile (such as Boomer, Linda!).
Sorry to those having trouble getting in. I had problems logging in also but I gave it a week and everything seems fine.
Except the font is tiny-tiny! Unless I increase it......mmmmm. I wonder if they're trying to weed out the "Over-40 needing reading glasses" crowd? By George, I think I might have it!!!!
Just kidding, just kidding (I know Marshall's near my age but that Chad, he's a young pup!!!)

Okay, I tried something. I logged out and then rebooted my computer. When I typed storm2k.org to get here I had a pages not displayed. But, when I typed in http://75.126.149.247, I did not have any trouble plus it kept me logged in. And I think that is what Marshall was trying to tell us the problem is.

HAHA... I just read more than I post these days unless I find something that peaks my interest. I always comment in the LOST thread though. I have to convince Miss Mary of certain things.
