Exercise? Me? I'm a junk food-aholic, elevator-riding, vehicle-driving individual! About the only exercise I do is basically to benefit my dog; I take her on a walk almost daily, depending on the weather. Other than that, my health is not a huge concern.

I don't go to gyms, but I am constantly exercising due to my wheelchair and using my arms for that.

I work out at home five days a week. At least an hour on the treadmill and then pilates :D

My wife and I went faithfully back in the 90's (years, not ages)! It helped build our strength and stamina, and surely helped with trading up from body fat to muscle.

But we have not attended a gym regularly since then.

We have SO many of them in our neighborhood...everything from Golds to L.A. Fitness to 24-hour Fitness and many more.

I prefer the outside, so I figure if I work outside on the landscaping, fix something that's broken, wash the cars myself, rake the rock yard, and then take my one hour walks with some spirit in my step, I am not only trying to stay active, but also accomplishing something.

Seems to me that gyms in Scottsdale are more for shopping than working out. And for a balding guy with trifocals and granddaughters, there aren't many aisles left for me to walk down and pick out a treat.

Aha, but Karan. My wife of 36 years still enjoys non-fat eye candy too!! If she could, she would go to the same gym where the local firemen strengthen their ladder climbing skills!

That alone, in her words, would "burn" some calories.
