Police: Robbery Victims' Marijuana Stolen

WEST HARTFORD -- Two young men robbed at gunpoint Friday night on a quiet side street had not yet called police when cruisers roared up, alerted by neighborhood tipsters.

After a lengthy investigation, which ended in the arrest of the two men and their roommate, police said they'd deduced why neighbors beat the pair to the phone – the stolen duffel bag probably contained a large amount of marijuana.

"It appears at this time that the "victims" of the robbery were robbed of a duffle bag containing marijuana," police Capt. Lori Coppinger said in a press release.
