Not an email a personal message. And it wouldn't be spamming if he only sent one, but sending them to random people isn't right.

But sending over 300 does qualify as spamming. You'd know. :wink:

He comes here, gets other people into trouble, and then just leaves. Not a very classy act IMO.

But yeah, if you PM a friend or someone you know from the site about another board, IMO that should be fine.
OTOH, PM'ing complete strangers in hopes that they will post at another board, I think that's spamming.

I have never seen AEPP at CMWRO unless he is using a alias. He could just be some trouble maker trying to give CMWRO a bad name. I dont know. If he is a member of CMWRO and I get his IP we can find out who he is and deal with him. I will say nothing more on this subject and await the PM from MF Dolphin regarding my asking of IP adress.

I never pmmed aepp, and I think by him sending 300 pm's to that "CWMRO site" says enough. I know I will get rebanned, but I wanted to say this. Jim and Matthew know I'm cool. Aepp is a hypocrite, and a lier. :grrr:

So to everyone out there who thinks I'm a spammer, well I've met my match. Not the first time CWMRO has sent out e-mails,pm's. I am defending myself, against a lie and accusation which was uncalled for. I apologize to storm2k for sending out two pm's to two members, and if they warrants a ban then that's fair but I just wanted to say my side of the story.

I dont think Dustin had anything to do with this to be honest. I found out who the trouble maker was and he is being dealt with so you can unban Dustin. No more need to keep this going so lets please end discusion on this topic and let it be.

Well, he's banned again. Guess there was enough evidence (PM's) for a first-offense "capital" ban. And same with another member named AllenJackson, whoever that is.

Lots of "spammers" lately, it seems.

BTW, if aepp really sent 300 PMs, and Dustin really sent only two (and I don't know if it was friendly PM exchange or not, maybe the mods/admins know), and aepp accused Dustin of something, isn't there something a bit fishy? Just saying. Regarding admins reading PM's, this is one case that I really do hope that the admins did indeed read Dustin's PM's before banning him.

However, it would be wrong to judge that the admins are making bad decisions; and I do thank them for the hard work to keep the board clean of big spammers such as aepp.

If not, how do we the people know who's been banned and who hasn't?

We usually cannot unless it's announced (like aepp or the original Dustin) or if the username is in not linked text with the word "guest" below it (like wxvane).

Actually you were not one of the PM's that were reported to us.. So that means he sent out even more then we were informed about just as I figured had happened. I am personally the one that banned Dustin.. Not just for this action.. He was allowed back on the board after a suspension under stipulations. I emailed him when I banned him.. I got no response. He is more than capable of contacting me if he wishes and I would gladly talk to him :-)

As for AEPP I suggest you never let anyone with a IP like that back on here again (unless you get a apology) because I dont think that guy ever learns from his mistakes. He did this once before and it caused drama and made several members unhappy. He said he would not do this again. I was lied to. I dont agree with everything this site does or how the staff handle things but that gives nobody a right to do what he did.

What Dustin did was weeks ago and had nothing to do with this from what I am being told. AEPP was the one who sent out the 300 PM's this time. Ironic that he reported Dustin for doing it only a few weeks ago and then he goes and does the same thing.

Dustin is a nice guy and made one mistake. Everybody makes mistakes and if we learn from them then we should be aloud another chance to prove this. I think Dustin deserves another chance to prove he wont do this again. I understand if you dont give him that chance though.

Now do you have proof Dustin had anything to do with this? From what I have been told anything AEPP recently said about him is probibly untrue. AEPP hates Dustin and they have been fighting for the longest time. I asked AEPP to try to fix the friendship between Dustin and be the bigger man and he ignored me because he does not care. He does not understand Dustin is a human being with feelings. Dustin is my friend and I know he is sorry for what he did. Just consider that before you make your final descision. I will say nothing more on the matter.

Right after saying that you don't think we need to point the finger. You turn around and point it at the moderators. I mean come on.

The staff here works very hard and does a heck of a job. If you don't like it then you don't have to post here. Nobody is forcing you.

Dustin messed up big time, and he paid the price, and it was only one mistake, but spamming is very much prohibited on this forum

Are we getting a new wave of spammers, or am I not paying attention? Twice this morning odd threads from "new members" have shown up in this forum. The latest one features a link to a pornographic website.

It's a pretty steady stream. We catch most of them before they post, but sometimes they slip by.
