I was pissed! With Tropical Depression Alvin, Tropical Storm Barbara, and Invest 92L out there, I was going crazy!

Find different servers. I've seen enough people with the supporter tag, if each of them gave $5, you'd have had more than enough.
But enough is enough.
You do realize that we don't take away the supporter tag if someone doesn't donate for a while? While some sporting the tag have donated more than once, there are those who have the tag who may have only donated once a few years ago. Don't assume that we get more than enough.

I strongly disagree. This is a good site. So there was some down time.....big deal! I have sent money twice and would do it again if required. Possibly you should consider joining the slackers at weather.com?
Another community I'm in funded this forum http://www.rantsnraves.org/index.php in less than 20 hours with just a few hundred dollars. Bought the software. Bought hosting. Its around as active as this forum. Got more than enough money and it went into an interest producing account.
I'd like to see the breakdown of where Storm2k spends its money before donating my $20.
Kevin,
I'm a supporter of Storm2K and frankly I don't need to know where the money is spent, because I know it’s going to keep this wonderful website operating. Do you have any idea how many hours the mods and admins put into the website? They don't get a dime and it hurts me when you say things denigrating the administrators, and insinuating they are not to be trusted with our money.

OK, everybody, let's pretend AnnularCane isn't the weird one!

(j/k from another weird one)

Thanks for suffering over the holiday weekend gentleman!
I hate to see anyone lose a job but it definitely fell into the "Aw Sh?T" category. Steve has requested compensation but we're waiting to hear their response.
Were all glad there wasn't financial information or the such on the server. In the IT world that is a MAJOR blunder. In the server hosting world that is good-bye imo. They need to recheck the entire process and see where they or thier system failed. I would like to think they have proceedures to prevent this. They better compensate. If you have documentation as to the fault and your contract doesn't cover their a@@ in this blunder.. it sounds like a easy case to get at least the hourly rate to repair alone. You have plenty to grip about.. and rightfully so when you look at everything else you both lost other than just time..
