lol @ God....such a slogan to carry! Ah well..you know me...I'm the speed racer of posters...I do this all over the place...sad to say I have no life during the winter and all this will slow some in the coming months. Sounds like you are pretty busy Shannon..and yes, those boards over @ TWC are really declining in a hurry. So glad we had a back-up plan by being here! I need a nap...I'll catch you all later tonight I hope!

Time to stop back in and have a drink ...

Currently, 35 degrees, surprisingly clear, calm winds...

Settling down after the excitement of the butter in the frying pan catching fire, and all that smoke! ... however, things are just fine, no damage, but some shaken nerves, and an hour outside as the house aired out ...

Did some updates to the webpage, started a thread in Weather Lore, Stories, and History thread called Unusual Skyfalls - issued a prognostic discussion for next weekend's potential major winter weather event, etc.

Time to relax, fire up a cigarette, relax with a good drink, and chill out for a little while!

I am so glad to see the explosion of people joing us here at THE BEST SITE ON THE INTERNET!!! :jump:

A BIG WELCOME TO Hurricanegirl, M2, Raine, Breeze, Black Opal, and Aslkahuna!!! This place just gets better and better!! :D Now we can really have some good discussions and enjoy the fellowship around the ole pot belly stove!! Speaking of it's time for another log, naw, I'll make that 2 so we get real warm and cozy. BTW, where is Grannies afghan? I need it! Oh thanks Karan, it is so comforting! Wooohooo!! Crouton!!! Warm your nose before you nuzzle my ***!!! :o :o Almost fell out of the rocker!!! Glad you could make it here Crouton! BTW, does anyone have Bob Childs email so we can let him know where Crouton is? :?:

Weather wise here in Houston it is currently 41f and "snizzlling". Looks like tiny SNOW, falls like SNOW, but is probably just a very light mist or drizzle. We're supposed to be up to 70f by Thursday! Haven't seen 45f for 3 days, which is somewhat unusual here. But we havn't seen 32f either. Just COLD AND WET!!!! YUCK!!!

Well time for bed. Gotta get up and go teach the young'uns about the Good Samaritan tomorrow.

Morning everyone! Looks like I'm the early bird again....fell asleep at 11pm and woke by 5am. Time to unlock the doors and wait for everyone to come in and have a huge breakfast. That reminds me...I never eat breaky...hmmmm wonder why? I used to as a kid, I think I was forced to! lol

Gonna be a lazy day here...temps knocked on zero's door all night and just think tomorrow we'll be colder and the day after colder....lol ewwwwwwww. This snow will never melt until June! I'll be floating around here aimlessly this morning, so if anyone needs anything...holler! I gotta make a fire and get this house warmed up some....Cya!

Welcome to all the new members....I'm sure you'll like it here. :D

David, I think we just barely missed our last chance for a good snow way down here....what a shame! And we were so close...

Oh well, maybe next year. Or better yet, maybe I'll plan a vacation up north in the winter. Now I'm thinking! 8)

Well, good mornin' to ya early birds, and, to everyone
else, as well. It's currently 29F with cloudy skies.
We're supposed to have a rain/snow mix, today.
I've still got snow in the front lawn from the "mix"
that we had this past Tuesday!

Rob, I'm glad that you've got the fire
going good, already. I'll get that pot of coffee going
for the coffee drinkers, and boil some water for the
tea drinkers.

Thanks for the warm welcome, southerngale and
vbhoutex! I can already tell that you're all a
great bunch!

Good Morning PBS Friends!

#210 Postby Stephanie » Sun Feb 09, 2003 10:46 am

WOW! Look at all of our friends coming from TWC! Hi Breeze, Black Opal & Big Dave!

Steve - TWC (which I know you don't watch LOL!) has had a big swath of precipitation over the Southwest for the middle of the week on for a few days now. I really hope you guys get it and it keeps on coming!

More snow for us tomorrow, though it seems to be starting later than it did on Friday. I guess Mother Nature is making up for January, though we did have several 1 - 2 inch snowfalls.

Today it'll be cleaning and income taxes.

Stormsfury, I'm glad that there was no serious damage to your Dad'd house and noone got hurt!

Talk to you all later!

Morning everyone and welcome Big Dave, Breeze, and Black Opal. I think you guys will really enjoy this site.

More snow here, which I already mentioned in the weather thread, but I don't know when spring will ever get here.

I guess I will just sit down and enjoy the cozy fire until then.

Have a great day everyone!

Sorry you're under the 'weather' John...hope you have better days to get by on!

Man..I got so bored that I just whipped out my Twister movie and watched it for the umpteenth time...seems like every time I do, I like to see how the effects fared with resembling reality! Ah well...the sun is out once again here and there's a line of moderate snow on radars on the move. I better stoke the fire more and hang around!
