Howdy Pot Belly Buddies!

Well, it was Monday for sure *sigh*.......wish I would have stayed retired!

Karan, so....what the heck happened to your post, I know your blonde but geeeeesh!

Pojo, I too am a EARLY riser, even on vacation I was up at 0430 EVERY morning......the hotel we stayed at had a fitness center with a sauna, jacuzzi and pool, so.....I'd hit the fitness center for 30 minutes, hit the sauna, then swim till 0545, then hit the *free breakfast bar*.

We went to Taos and Santa Fe on Thursday, spent the whole day cruizin' the Northern part of New Mexico, bought quite a few Ristra's, chilies on a strand, suppose to bring good luck, needless to say, I bought a BUNCH, the way things have been going lately "LOL!"

Spent Friday cruizin' Old Town Albuquerque, hit all the art galleries and let me tell ya......there were some REALLY wierd ones too, Old Town has become a mecca for the *New Agers*.....saw some *Radical E.L.F. members*...talk about fruit loops sheeeeesh!

All in all, a GREAT vacation, like I said, just not long enough, ah well!

That's nuff outta me for now. Take care and I'll stoke the fire, I dang sure don't need it, SUMMER has returned *SIGH*!

Hello, Hello

We had sloppy joes for dinner. I brought some with me if anyone missed dinner or is hungry.

First of all, Pojo, yay for the Badgers. Since PennState s#cks this year, I have to get satisfaction in other ways. Sorry about the hackers, er, Packers, though.

Karan, I did the floor with vinyl tiles. And the bathroom, and the hallway the same. It was a relatively quick and inexpensive fix for this house we're renting. The landlord expressed an interest in "inspecting" the house, so we had a number of hurry-up projects to make it presentable. 4 kids, 3 dogs, and various nieces and nephews take a toll on a house. We're still debating what to do with the living room and dining room floor. They're nice hardwood, but the old finish is mostly gone. There was carpet when we moved in, but it got cruddy and we removed it. We might just refinish them, which could be cheaper than new carpet. That's a $50 answer to a $10 question.

The weather has been perfect. It was 70 today, clear blue sky and zero wind. That big old High pressure is right over top of us. I went out and looked up in the sky, but couldnt see the "H." I don't know why it shows up on the weather maps. Must be the perspective of the satellites, or something. Has anyone ever seen it from a plane?

Garrett, thanks for the cinnamon rolls.

Dennis, I was wondering, did your dog go with you on vacation?

That's about all for now.

LOL, Ed, would 'ya pass me one of dem sloppy joes,
please? Thanks! I love 'em! :D That old "High" behooves me, too...
...ya'd kinda expect it to be sittin' on a rainbow, or, something...

I was just too tired to log on, yesterday, after the painting
excursion....and, Miss Mary, I see you have painting left to do, still?
Oh, well, let me see if the Boss will give me a few days off so
I can come help you...;)

Dennis, it's good to see you back! So glad you had a great
time! You need to hang some of those chilis up around the
'ole PBS, as, we need all the good luck that we can get!

Everyone have a great night!

Evening friends!!

Karan...the smell of Earl Grey brought me right to the porch..thanks hon!!

WOW! That's the word that comes to mind when I look at my mountain...I love fall, all the colors...the other day I was driving hither and yon and just basking in all the colors...made me want to get out of my car and just embrace the world..and jump in the biggest pile of leaves!! That probally sounds corny but it's the best I can do to describe how I felt gazing upon the beauty of God's creation.Mind that as much as I love autumn and all it's glory it's still the humdinger of snow storms and winter weather that really puts the bee in my bonnet!! :D

Anywho....I want to personally thank the person..the name eludes me now and I can't go back and see who was the culprit who posted the beginning lines to Sponge Bob's theme song....ACK...that silly song is now stuck in my head as I type this.....LOL....my family, specially my husband love that yellow sponge fella...as for me...he drives me insane...great now I have Bob's silly laugh echoing in my head....HELP!!!!!! :D

My airline job has kept me hopping these days..the line that I currently hold is only four days a week but since I am only part time I am the one that the full timers come to to cover their days off, so I am working full time hours. This is what stinks about it though...the only baddy part...I don't get overtime until I hit over fourty hours in a week.If I work a ten hour day it's ten hours at straight time.BUT....the good news....next week we bid on our new lines....me being at the bottom of the seniority list I get the last line....which will be five days a week from 4am til 9am wednesday thru sunday. Not to bad....cept I have to get up at 3am to be there AND I get to deice all the morning flights AND have to stay later if flights are delayed due to weather.....LOL..I'm not complaining though, at least I will be able to be home now at night and I do so love the job, never a dull day!!

Dennis.....so glad to see you back from your vacation, sounds like you had a WONDERFUL time....you and Michelle deserved a little time off..soon as I get the chance I want to take a gander at your pix!!

I get the last week of October off...I get to have all the folks I work for pay me back....so I plan on making the most of my flight bennies and take a few days to fly all over the country..starting in portland ore, then to seattle then to san fran or san diego....then.....LOL..well I don't know where...any suggestions folks?

mmmmmmmmmm.....garrett those cinny rolls were YUMMY....I trained crouton to fetch them as well as KK"s and hide them til I come to visit the porch!

Miss Mary, hugs to you hon! LOL...when you are done with your house my fella can use a hand with our house, I want to repaint our bedroom....Ed...LOL....ya'll come on over too....we need a new floor laid in the kitchen...I'll make sure you both have snacks! :D

skyman....I'll be jotting off a note soon...in the meantime thanks sooooo much for the pix of emma and sinje..they made me smile and they made Meg who is missing sinje something awful these days smile too...that you gave my daughter a reason to smile means the world to me....know that...God Bless you friend :D

This saturday is our church's annual 5k race..this year they are making my son the beneficary of the proceeds to help cover medical expenses from his hospital stay back in the spring....LOL...I might need a hospital stay...I have to run this race and I have not had the time to properly train...today I ran two miles and nearly collapsed along the side of the road!!Egads but I hope I can make the whole course..with some semblance of grace and dignity!! :o

Drat the dryer just dinged me....have to go and fold and buddy up socks...why do socks lose their buddies when you put them in the washer???!!!And where do those buddies go??!! AWOL socks...I wonder if where they go they have a jacuzzi and all the snacks and color safe bleach they can stand?!

Take good care friends....may God Bless each of you and your loved ones..enjoy your days, enjoy your family and friends...the two greatest blessings in the world....family and friends

Love, Raine :D

Evenin' Gang!

The wedding reception was wonderful! Marty & I did not go to the ceremony, but it was standing room only. They even had a bagpiper lead out the procession after the ceremony. The reception was at a place called "Renault Winery". It's way back in the Pine Barrens and of course they make and serve their own wine. My boss and his bride looked very happy. They're taking a few days off and then they will go on their honeymoon in December to St. Lucia.

Dennis - I'm glad that you had a wonderful vacation!

Ed - the floor sounds great. I want to replace our rugs someday, perhaps put hardwood floors in our family room.

Shannon - My Eagles really aren't looking too good this year. They ALMOST had the Dallas game, but it looks like it'll be a LONG season. :(

Another late night tonight at work. When I got home from work on Saturday, I pretty much collapsed and did NOTHING. Jackie - I'm jealous of your "nap"!

Well, I hope everyone is doing well. Raine - glad to see you pop in!

The fire smells good. Towards the end of the week we'll really need it up in my neck of the woods!

HI ALL. Will get back in the swing of things in the days and weeks ahead as the schedule begins to calm down.

That wedding reception sounds unique...and I love those unique ones. Went to a Rumanian wedding this past summer and enjoyed it a lot...the cultural differences a sometimes subtle, but great to take part in.

Raine...you are welcome! Always glad to help bring a smile to anyone! My drier ate a sock too...so you are not alone!

Will spend more time here later. Always nice to stop by and read the news.

OK Raine, here's the entire lyrics:

Are you ready kids?
Aye Aye Captain
I can't heeeaaaar you.
AYE AYE CAPTAIN!

Ohhhhhhhh,
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
Sponge Bob Square Pants!
Absorbant and yellow and porous is he.
Sponge Bob Square Pants!
If nautical nonsense be something you wish,
Sponge Bob Square Pants!
Then drop on the deck and flop like a fish!
Sponge Bob Square Pants!

Ready?
Sponge Bob Square Pants
Sponge Bob Square Pants
Sponge Bob Square Pants
Sponge Bob.............Square Pants!

Ha Ha
Ha Ha Ha
Wha Hoo Wha ha ha (Arghhh)

Good Morning!

I don't know about you Ed   Thanks.......I think we've ALL got that silly song in our heads! Ya know, why is it that something SOOOOOO silly, so stupid like Sponge Bob becomes such a hit?? Is the world in THAT bad a shape? Do we really need something this silly to release our frustrations? I gotta admit, I watch it too

ANYWAYS! Raine!!! Great hearing from ya kiddo  Sounds like the job is keep ya hopping for sure! Hey, fly into Phoenix, catch the little commuter plane to ShowLow......it's called Mesa Airlines! We'll pick ya up and give ya a guided tour of this mountain top!

Not much else going on this early morning, waiting for the paper, we must have a new paper person, normally the papers here at 0430. Make it a GREAT day would ya?

Ed - why thanks for that ditty. Let's see, now long has it been since I heard that theme song? Mere hours.......less than 24 I'm sure. It's one of Laura's favorite shows and she just hates it when we see a scene (it's chock full of them) that doesn't make sense. How can they cook underwater? How can they live in a cardboard box without it getting wet? How can the sun set down there? When I see shows like this I sigh - now why couldn't we think up a silly show like this? The crazier, the make-no-sense it is, the bigger hit it will be.

And now I can't get that song out of my head too!!!!

Good afternoon Stovians,

It's a cloudy day here in the Burgh. Wind warnings out for tonight!!!! Hold on to your hats!!!!

Dennis, what beautiful pictures. I'm so glad you had a really great time. You deserve it.

Raine, raine, raine. We missed you sweetie. So good to see you. We don't have any leaves on the ground yet, but last year I did jump and play in the leaves with my Grandkids. Sooooo much fun. You never know when you're going to make a memory!!!

Ed, sorry to tell ya but I think it's more expensive to refinish hardwood than it is to buy new carpet - Unless of course you're planning on doing it yourself. Geeezzzzzz that's a lot of work!!

Breeze, I have to agree. I think painting is one of the best exercises - at least every bone in my body is aching when I finish. THINK BENGAY!!!!

Stephanie, that wedding sounded really nice. A Winery you say???? My kind of reception!!!! I think my Steelers are doin worse that your Eagles.

Poppysky, hows about making my day with a nice pic of Emma. Did I get deleted from the list????

Hi 247!!!

Miss Mary, I think in order to enjoy Sponge Bob, you have to let your mind go blank - in my case I never have a problem doing that.

Well, I'll stoke the fire and put on a pot of Earl Grey for all to enjoy. Hey, I made some chocolate chip cookies with macadamia nuts. Help yourselves.

Take care my friends

Hehehe... Jacki,Jacki,Jacki. I always knew you'd flew the coop. Now I have proof! :D

Miss Mary, I hope the song gets out of your head soon. My thoughts and sympathies are with you.

I just failed 2 tests today. Yay for me! Actually... I probably didn't fail them I just get down on myself when I don't do as well as I think I should.

Thanks alot....Sponge Bob Square Pants is the song playing in my head right now! One of my friends is ADDICTED to Sponge Bob (she is 22!) Believe me, she has plenty of sponge bob memoribila(sp) to share!

I purchased a new laptop last night...... $1100! Toshiba. that broke my pockets! (even though I'm broke as it is!) Anyways, I'm still in the process of setting it up, so I'll be logging on from the computer lab at school til I get everything set.

Garrett....join the club!!! Failing midterms is my pasttime! (seriously at times!) I've had 3 midterms already....passed one. Yup, one (but that got me off the sh!t list of one of my professors!) :ggreen: I had to score a 70% on my Soil Environment exam to get off the sh!t list....and I was well above that! :ggreen: :D

BTW, thanks for the cinnamon rolls....excellent! :D

Raine....running a 5K....I have to do that in December! Good Luck. Best wishes with Dakota and your family.

Good afternoon PBS'ers!!

I cannot tell you how GOOD it felt to sleep in till' 10:30 this morning! I feel so refreshed! Those early mornings will get the best of me if I let em! But I know I don't have to work another one for at least two weeks so that's a good thing!!

It also feels really good to get things done around the house! I've been so busy lately that I hadn't really done my fair share of helping out, I was only here pretty much to sleep! So I have been cleaning all morn and afternoon (with a brief pause to say hi in here, and a soap opera update! LOL) and I am just about done! Ahhhh, days off are heaven!

Tonight one of my friends I haven't seen for a while is coming to pick me up and we are going to dinner- just like the good ol' days before work and adulthood took over! It should be a fun break before I head back to work tomorrow! I realize that half of you have lives much more fast-paced than mine, and I give major props to you for handling them, but everyone needs a day like this every once in a while, and I hope you all get yours soon!

Have a great day y'all!! :D

LMAO!

I hope everyone had a good Wednesday. I drove all the way to campus this morning (a 45 minute drive) to find out that my 9:00 class was cancelled again. This is the third time in 2 weeks. :grr: I already knew that my 10:00 class was cancelled today because my professor had a funeral so I drove all that way for nothing. It is getting annoying!!!
