Just thought I'd come by and throw a log on the fire. I probably will be gone till after the first of the new year so I'll put on a pot of saurerkraut, pork and kielbasi and get the mashed taters started. I hope everyone has a happy, safe and prosperous New Year. ((HUGS))

...and a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you!

We can choose to find the many troubling things in our lives every day, or we can spend some time saying thank you, wishing others well, sharing a handshake, or laughing out loud at the quirks that life throws at us.

In 2007, I will work my way through the former, as we all will, but spend my energies and strength on the latter.

Kathy and I are closing out 2006 at the wedding ceremony of our youngest son in San Diego on New Year's Eve! We'll wake up on January 1, 2007, with a new "daughter", Gracie, in our lives!

Be safe and enjoy the opportunity to start a brand new "window on the world" that very same day!

Steve

"HAPPY NUDE YEAR!" I mean HAPPY NEW Year

How the HECK is EVERYONE? ME....just PEACHY just COLD, SNOWY and in desperate need of a BEER 8-)

The suprise vacation was nice just too short, I mean ANYTIME on the beach is TOO short...I LOVE and MISS the ocean SO bad  Wish I could afford one of the houses on the beach, I'd say a COOL 5 million MIGHT buy me a ONE ROOM SHACK with a outhouse!

Can't stay but a second...it's snowing SO hard and the roads are TERRIBLE, I've got the scanner on and in just the past 30 minutes I've counted 21 fender benders with 2 injuries

Morning everyone! Nice to see you again Donna (thank you so much for your xmas card. What a beautiful family you have!).

So this is what a warm and wet Winter feels like! First I could not get into the holiday spirit to save my life but kept thinking, oh we'll have a cold and snowy winter - wrong! This doesn't feel like January. I am constantly drying my dog's muddy paws. She's not too happy either and usually loves this time of year too - I love when everything freezes and we can pack away the old ratty towels we keep by our back door. I'm serious, if my kids let her in, I have 50 muddy paw prints all over the place. LOL New floor design, courtesy of Hope. :-)

Anyway, that's what is going on - nothing really. We've all managed to avoid the stomach virus going around - knock on wood! But it's all around us. I work in a middle school! And have one in HS so we're all washing our hands like crazy.

So check in more peeps - I know you're out there lurking. I keep thinking we need to shake up this Off Topic board. Anyone know of a good topic that would generate pages of replies? I could start one - The January Blues......I'm blue because....... No, seriously, I'm thinking we need an upbeat, fun one! Whadda say....not feeling very creative right now. LOL I feel like a hibernating bear but it's not that cold! Figure that one out.....

Woke me up.

Hope everyone out there is well though. I'm doing about as well as you'd expect for someone who has been through the things I have in 2007. BTW if you go to my prayer thread there is a guestbook that I found that I am asking people to sign whenever they can.
