Two schools down... 3 more to go (I'm at Water Survival School right now... awaiting class to start).
I'm thankful my supervisors are letting me go home next week to see my family and to celebrate Christmas (a little late). I'll be home for a week and then off to the 4th school... Flight school at Little Rock AFB.

OMG.... Its Bone-numbing cold!!!!
I'm back home on leave for a week.... Indiana was horrible... I couldn't pump gas without getting blown over.... OR driving off the road when the wind goes blowing over I65 with NOTHING to stop it!
When I got into town ambient temp was +5... I'm not sure exactly what the WC was but it was definitely below zero!
Someone pass me the afghan please and a cup of hot chocolate! Please please please

Hope Elizabeth was born last Friday, at about 9:00 pm. Hey wait a minute-I posted that in antother thread. Anyway, she is a sweet little bundle alright. Everyone is doing fine. We haven't been over to see her much because everyone in this house has been fighting colds. Last week was a blur with the kids being in and out of school.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

Winter is rearing its ugly head here too. Winter Storm Watch posted for the Cincinnati area - Monday into Tuesday. Anything from heavy snow, to sleet to ice, or a mixture will fall. One Dayton, OH Met is predicting 12 to 18 inches!
Going down to 0 or below 0 here tonight too.
January was mild compared to this! Who knew February could be so brutal.....wait don't answer that, we are wx enthusiasts, now aren't we? LOL
Cya all........I'll keep you posted, unless the site is down.

I was swimming in the GOM before I went home on leave... I'm not saying the GOM was warm by any means... water temp was 50*. We were in and out of the water all day long... that help somewhat to acculmate my body to the cold wx... but -40*F on a good day takes a while to get accustom to. I left yesterday and it was a heat wave of +15* (with WC around zero).... now I'm in Little Rock... 50*F today with rain... this is the wx that I prefer!

It is quiet in here... I guess everyone is hiding from the severe wx and/or the snow.
Today we spent 4 hours on the plane today... and we didn't leave the ground! But the training was GREAT! As for the exam yesterday... it was the first test in loadmaster training that I aced.... yup 100%. That felt so good! It was muggy today... severe thunderstorms are expected tonight into tomorrow.
