It's not really a fix... it's just weird rules on behalf of American Idol. It is not a bright business move to put the outcome of this show solely in the hands of the public.

They should accompany judges scores to the public vote, somewhat like Dancing with the Stars.

With those rules senor.. it is basically a popularity contest and like 2night.. there is bound to be some controversy when certain people go or stay..

Someone at work mentioned the pictures and said they heard that someone who auditioned with her and didn't make it was considered one of the suspects who released the pictures. And haven't they determined the pics where an act is being committed were fake?

Nevertheless, the pics at the war memorial are bad. But who released them to the public?

Sanjayah can be explained by the John Stevens effect. The "tweenies" like him apparently. I think its the hair.

And Antonella is currently the pick for "Vote for the Worst.

I was 3 out of 4 for who I thought would go home, on page 13. That's not who I thought should go though. Antonella and Sanjaya should have gone home, but I knew they wouldn't. What a crock. This is a SINGING competition, not a beauty pageant, and not a popularity contest. Unfortunately, 2 people are safe tonight while a few singers who were MUCH better are now packing their bags. I was wrong about Nick. I thought it would be Brandon because I thought his performance was weak this week. I didn't particularly care for Nick's either though.

And look at A.J.'s class. When asked if he thought Sanjaya would have been the one going home, he said something like, "No, man...he's awesome." You could tell he was surprised though. And with reason...I'm sure he thought this was a singing competition as well. Oh well... it's people like my little niece. I called my sister last Tuesday (right after the guys sang the first week) and my niece answered the phone with the phone dialing in my ear. She was voting for Sanjayah!

And Antonella was horrible. Really...it was bad. If you thought it was bad when you watched her, imagine this on the radio.

Ugh! Just made me thankful I'm not watching this year. It's like a really bad karaoke attempt.

You have to give her one thing though... She sounds just as good live as half the people who are on Top 40 stations today.

I don't think I've listened to Top 40 since the mid-90's. I know a handful of current songs only because I've heard them at parties, restaurants, or on someone's MySpace. But most of the stuff on today's Billboard pop charts just doesn't appeal to me. Proof that I am getting old.

Kelly, a few dogs were howling over here when they hear her voice!!!lol

I thought Brandon and AJ would go home too and was surprised at Nick going.

I said Alaina would go and thought Leslie would be safe only because of her looks. Antonella is going to hang around a while because of her looks.

Every year on American Idol there seems to be one guy who is pretty bad who hangs in there for many, many weeks. As I said before, I think Sanjaya is going to be that guy this year.

Gotta disagree with you on that one. Regretably the guys just didn't bring it tonight. The next American Idol will be a woman, IMO. Blake was better than most of them and I say buh bye Sanjaya-pretty can only take you so far.

All I got to say is…please please…let Baseball begin!
I don’t know how much more of this foolishness I can take. I know it’s extremely popular, but I sit and I watch (because baseball hasn’t started and until then, my wife controls the remote), and I get that same nauseated feeling I get when I have watched any of the gazillion reality shows. We have the staged “bad” acts, that people actually think are everyday people who don’t really know they stink! Then we have this Simon guy who has all the negative demeaning insulting remarks, and people again believe this is actually his personality, and his true beliefs! I don’t buy any of this for one second! I believe Simon does what his employer tells him to do. I watched Paula last night cut down this curly haired kid that actually had a decent voice. I guess it was her turn to be nasty to somebody. Every show has the loser acts, and my wife will sit there and argue with me, that these poor unfortunate souls don’t realize they are bad. Puhleeeze! They know they are bad, and they are paid to be bad.

Anyway…I know opinions are like ********, and everyone has one, so I offer my unpopular one for the expected public flogging.
