Keep up the good work, Dennis!
We're in the middle of this northeast snowstorm tonight. We're supposed to get 5 to 8 inches of the white stuff. There will probably be school cancellations and all that. 'Tis the season!
I'm working at home tonight and am prepared to do it tomorrow too.
Take care everyone!

HOWDY everyone....geesh, has it been THAT long AGAIN since I've been around? With the holidays here so are the STUPID asp criminals, I swear, burglaries are up 200% over the summer, it's sad
I literally RUN from scene to scene, processing them and then spend HOURS upon HOURS doing paperwork, research, running warrants etc, etc but I LOVE it......and BTW unlike CSI, we DO NOT solve the crimes in less than an HOUR

ANYWAYS........I've got everyone that has asked for prayers covered! I'll TRY to stop by a little more often, I swear!
Until tomorrow, "Mat the Good Lord bless and Keep You" I'll leave the light on!

Officer,
By now you KNOW that evil recognizes no holiday; this is particularly tough on public service officers at this time of year, yet...rest assured that those inside, warm and fuzzy at their revelry, will sleep better knowing you're out THERE.

Ed, rub that snowstorm in, would 'ya? As the old folks around
here would say, we got nary a flake... I'm expecting you to
make a snow angel for me, buddy...
Dennis, Bill's right - we depend on our officers to be there
and enforce our safety. I worked so many holidays as a
nurse - sickness, just like crime, knows no holiday.
We're the spokes that keep the big wheel turning!
But - I thought you HAD to solve the crime in an hour....??
As for the scums, bring 'em to Tennessee. A few good 'ole
boys can load them up, take them for a long drive in the deep
woods, strip them down, paint them with honey, tie them
to a tree, and, leave.
Now, that's Justice!

Awwww.....thanks, Ed!

Oh, yawn....fifteen more minutes of work 'til I can bust out of
here....wait a minute - did I say work? LOL, I am actually
caught up for a rare moment in time, and, can sneak online
for a short bit! Most of you know that I never get time to
log in here during work hours.
Amy, sounds like you're having lots of fun getting ready for
Christmas! I think I have gotten MOST everything that I'll
need. My Mama is having surgery on her foot this Thursday,
so, I'm taking off of work Thursday through Monday so that
I can help her. She's going to be using a walker, unable to
walk on her right foot, except on the heel, so, she's gonna
be slow moving. Guess who's cooking the big Christmas
breakfast this year....? *waving Your's truly! LOL, I told her
that she could sit in a chair with her foot elevated and do
the supervising, this year!

cranberry oatmeal cookies, btw - they were delicious!
Oops, I think that by the time I shut this computer down, get
my jacket, and, lock up, it'll be time to bail out of here!
Everyone have a good one!

Hi everyone, I just finished my "chores" for the night and am finally sitting down to relax. It's good to hear that everyone is moving forward.
We are working on a model volcano for one of my sons, for a school project. We have a cardboard skeleton made and once the glue hardens, it'll be ready for the clay. I wouldn't want to be the custodian the day that they set off all the volcanos in school. The rules say only baking soda/vinegar volcanos are allowed. Rats! I thought that filling that baby with gunpowder would make a fine volcano. I mean, some volcanos explode, don't they? Maybe the excitement would be worth a lower grade......

Hey all.....checking in for a bit. Breeze, praying your mom does well with surgery. Same for Jeremy, praying for you as well!
Everywhere you look now, stores, intersections, grocery lines, everyone is rushing around. I have to do this, or that, list in hand. It's getting crazy!
After I dropped off my daughter Laura to school this morning, I had a mom driving a mini-van just pull right out in front of me. She was trying to turn left from a stop sign, onto the busy road her school is on. Well, this mom was tired of waiting for an opening, both directions were full of cars. A steady stream, both ways. She just pulled right out in front of me, I had time to brake but she realized I was much closer and we could have had an accident. Had I not been paying attention. What dumb thing did she do, besides the first dumb decision? She gunned it, on the turn and bounced off a guardrail, twice, then almost lost control of her car, she's in the middle of the road, I'm long past her at this point, a bit shaken but our cars were far apart. Never really in danger of colliding (b/c I saw her coming, I slowed way down). She managed to gain control of her car again but at what cost? To save a few minutes, she wipes out an entire side of her van? I don't envy that explanation.....I drove home, very carefully after that.
Seems everywhere people are impatient, so that's my heads up to my S2K family. Watch out for the other driver, more than ever, until January 1st! LOL

You got that right Mary. I was in Toys R Us parking lot the other day, just got done shopping and was pushing my buggy to my van. The women parked beside me had her reverse lights on, for a while, like she was doing something in there, so I proceeded to pass her car to get to my van. She then starts reversing while I am in back of her with out looking. I yell YO. And she stops, but then rolls down her passenger wndow and yells something or another at me. I was like WHAT? She pulls up beside me but won't roll down her driver side window and was saying something, that wasn't nice. I mean you almost plow me down and then you start to yell at me. Ewwwwww, people like that burn me up. If that would have been me, I would have been apoligizing for almost mowing someone down. Got to love that Christmas spirit,
Annette, hope the surgery goes well for your mom on Thurs. You get to play the mom for a while, huh? lol.
Good luck on the project Ed. School projects are always fun.
Off to the grocery store. JOY! I will pick up some KK's my way back, its right across the street from Publix.
Have a great day!

Kelly - So glad you spoke up. That lady had no right to yell at you, you were doing her a favor and saving your arse at the same time! Your story reminds me of an elderly couple I saw backing up slowly in a crowded shopping center parking lot, just yesterday! First off it was not your regular lot, it was behind a restaurant, an upscale center with shops, a Starbucks, a small bed/breakfast, spots were angled odd ways, then some were directly behind businesses. This man was backing up at about 1 MPH, in a huge caddy. He just kept going and going. Wife sitting there clueless as he was. Another car wanted in front of his and he was trying to pull into a spot. A male pedestrian was cutting thru this lot, he's watching too but cuts in behind this caddy and a row of parked cars. Beamers, Mercedes, etc. (note, I drive a simple Honda Civic!). He was about to plow right into a Mercedes, at an odd angle, taking out a fender, or more. I yelled, hey stop. The pedestrian looked at me, as to say - lady let him wreck! I just said hey, I just don't want to see someone's car get hit! I knew this man would have continued driving on.....he really shouldn't have had a license, to be honest. So that little mishap was avoided. I'd like to think someone would stop another driver from plowing into MY car!
All I know is you have to have your wits about you these days.
Ed - this time of year is notorious for projects, papers, parties when specific supplies are needed. It's so darn busy! I can see why some parents decide to home-school their kids. I often wonder if their home life and schedules are much calmer than families with Elementary, Middle and HS aged kids? Especially before the holidays. If I had my way, there would be no projects until January 3rd!

Mary & Kelly, don't ya love the "Christmas Spirit"!!! Fortunately it is out there, especially when there are people like you two around.
We're almost done with the shopping, now getting the house in order is another matter!!!
Actually it is in pretty good shape too, but there are always those last minute things.
Annette, special prayers coming your and your mom's way for successful surgery and a speedy recovery for both of you!!

Just received an urgent call from my stepdaughter; her husband beat her up last night (lumps on her head, two teeth knocked out), she had him arrested, and Debi wants to relocate her and the grandchildren (boy, 3; two girls, 7 and 14) down here.
