Re: 24 Season Premier!! Edit: Jan. 11th
Very interesting episode, big improvement over the past few weeks with a lot of buildup.
I knew something was going to happen to Kim with all the scenes she was getting early on(not a fan of her being in danger AGAIN), and I expected it to tie back to Tony's group, but what I didn't expect was who specifically would do it.
Go Chloe!
Janis is so annoying... I can't stand her.
The D.C. subway is packed at 5:30am? and everyone just happened to get off at Washington Center? Eh.
Olivia is in DEEP TROUBLE. Her scheming has come back to get her and she's going down.
Ethan!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and since when do the Chief of Staff get everything they say recorded? Huh? What a convenient plot device.
The end was
I still think this season had a lot better first half. In general ever since Jack got sick it's lost something, and speaking of that, where is the antidote?

I guess we find out during the finale unless they decide to carry it to NYC as a cliffhanger.

I'm starting to think I've figured it out, there won't be an antidote. Season 8 is taking place only a short time after this season ends. I'm guessing that will be Jack's last day and he will be near death the whole day(I'm really dreading the idea, what makes the show good is Jack in the field). It's very likely to be the last season(and probably should be anyway, 8 seasons is a long run and I feel like the show has gotten a bit stale this year) and there's no show without Jack IMO. I'm thinking the end of Season 8 will be Jack dead... for good.
I'm still not sure how this season ends though, it certainly seems to me Tony will be dead for sure and perhaps Kim.

I think that there will be an antedote. They're not going let Jack die a slow painful death and end the whole show on that. I think Tony has an antedote or knows of one.
Janis is looking for acknowledgement? She needs to check her feelings at the door. Can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
The woman that plays Olivia is VERY good. The range of emotions from evil to sneaky to scared that she plays are so believable. My question is what is the status going to be of the President? She lets her daughter, who she's had suspicions about to begin with, become Chief of Staff. What the heck were her credentials? Her judgement is going to come under a lot of scrutiny, at least it does for me.

WOOHOO!!!!! Go Renee! She really is the female Jack Bauer!
Good riddance Olivia. Have fun in prison.
Poor Allison. Shut up Henry!
Chloe and Janis made up!
I'm still confused on WHY Tony had to do revenge this way. I mean come on, killing an FBI agent and trying to kill thousands of innocent Americans is inexcusable under any circumstances. Oh and WOW... Michelle was pregnant. Season 5 seems like so long ago.
Lame cliffhanger. It's obvious Jack isn't dying(and it took way too long for the treatment to happen). The only thing I want to see is what happened inside that room after Renee went in.

I liked the finale. It did tie up some loose ends and left the door open.
GO KIM!!
Allison's husband is a wimp. SEE YA Olivia!!!

I used to not like Renee at first and she grew on me. I think she could be Jack's replacement.
I also like Ethan.

Whoa... wait a minute there, buddy.

Anyway, the biggest disappointment of the show? Janis is still breathing.
I liked the finale. While the cliffhanger isn't all that exciting as noted above, I don't think they ever have been. Since the new season is a separate day from exactly what is going on this day, if I recall correctly, there's often a mild setup for the next season, but it's usually not a big cliffhanger. President Palmer shaking someone's hand and going down (then turned out he had recovered by the beginning of the next season, but the girl who did it played a large role), Jack walking off into the sunset, leaving for "good" - etc.
Tony is one confused puppy. I have always loved him, but I want to smack the crap out of him! Loading Jack with C-4. No, no, no, no, no. Bad Tony!

See ya, Olivia! Enjoy your life in prison, you conniving little *cough cough*
I've always been a huge Aaron fan. Ethan is quickly growing on me as well.
Dang, can't we just go straight into the next day? Waiting until 2010 blows!

I didn't like Renee much at first. She got on my nerves. But she grew on me... a lot. I really like her now, much more than I first thought possible. But replace Jack? NOBODY can replace Jack. Jack dies, the show dies.

I don't like Janis either. Also, it did not address those 100 or so moles within the government. The season finale did not really tighten up all loose ends.

Just a thought. Hastings is obviously being set up for a fall. Jack Bauer in charge of CTU before this season is over or at least the suggestion as part of a cliffhanger ending?
