Well I agree in part, but wouldn't go so far as to say it's ridiculous. Israel's weapons system are not up to par with the US's weapons.

That being said, Israel is far more advanced than it's neighbors.

A country doesn't have to have the best weapons in the world to win a war. They just need better than their enemy.

From cnn.com

U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan says Hezbollah's actions "hold an entire nation hostage" and set back prospects for Middle East peace, The Associated Press reports.

that has to be the most ridiculous statements yet.

Why is it ridiculous? Back up the comment. Simply calling a view "ridiculous" in no way makes it so. It's quite true. As a nation of well-honed fighters I have no doubt that left to their own designs...(God forbid it should come to it) Israel is more than capable of handling Syria and Iran--and for all their bravado to the contrary... those two countries know it. They're positively counting on, as one put it, "Israel caving" to international pressure; which I hope to high heaven they do NOT do, until the devil in the works--Hezbollah--is dealt a mortal blow in the region.

Who will win the Superbowl next year? :P

Is further irritating a poster a good way to ease tensions?

So who do you feel is doing the best job covering the situation in the Middle East? The News House wants to know for their blog. Email them at: thenewshouse@gmail.com and you can check out the responses later in the day.

I am not irritating him, in fact I plan to ignore his posts all together. I am just agreeing with what had been previously posted.

Maybe the poster meant referring to hi-tech weapons as toys was ridiculous.

I was only responding to what Brent posted earlier, if you would have really looked into the veil a little more carefully.

This is really getting off track - can we stick to the discussion at hand?

Seriously. My comment was only because the discussion seems to stay on topic for the most part, then when NBCintern joins in, arguments ensue. I was hoping my little comment would be taken as a hint and we could continue, but apparently not.
