It's chilly, willie. Record highs last week, record lows this week. It's gettin so a guy can't get acclimated anymore.

Zip, Zip, Zoom...
Visit at my oldest son's alternative school last night, home vistit with his counseler tomorrow night, scouts with the youngest two tonight, I think I'm forgetting something for thursday night, and then bowling with scouts friday night. We'll be doing good if we keep them fed and in clean clothes this week.

Got a nasty storm moving in overnight and I don't know how much I'll be on tomorrow. I don't have much surge protection for my comp; and we have thunderstorms in the forecast; so I may be offline for a good part of the day. Sorry guys. :(

Bad wx for me here...mild, but WET. Sinuses acting up, ears ringing, arthritis screaming in the background...and I have no way of regulating the temps inside (cold one day, hot the next).

Its been quiet around the PBS....I guess temperatures are warming up in the neighborhood. We had a dense fog advisory for the morning....in some spots 0.1 mi visibility!

Just stopping in....on a wonderful day that I can practically relax...All I have is an article to read!!! that's it for the entire week. :jump: :ggreen: Every huge project is done and handed in (that includes a take home midterm!)

The weekend is almost here....I can't wait.

Hey strangers!

Talk about freaky temps...its 80* and suffocating here in my part of the country...cooler temps coming, they assure us...lol

We've just been soooo darn busy with life , that we never find the time to get online and say hello anymore...so HI's and Hellos to everyone around!

Our local radio station is playing Christmas music around the clock already...and we've begun decorating our house!

We've been asked to showcase our home in a local candlelit Christmas historic Highland home charity event, so we are BUSY BUSY BUSY making sure all of our rooms will be festive and ready for Dec. 13th. Everyroom has a tree and a theme, and we've only got 1 room done, and two partially started....theres alot to do. So much fun....and its not even Thanksgiving yet!

Good news to share! Many of you know that my dad died 1 1/2 yrs ago...and my mother has just announced wedding plans ! She has met a wonderful Christian man, and they plan to marry in Dec. or Jan. So, we're real excited about that, and excited that they will be spending Thanksgiving with us....(we finally get to meet the groom)...NO long engagement for these too....Its a special blessing to find someone so perfect to give you a second chance at happiness, when this life is so short.

Well, I've rattled on enough....Blessings to all...

Good evening folks!

Furry! It's great to hear from you!

I love going through those Christmas house tours. I'm sure yours will be lovely!

Congratulations on your Mom's engagement!

This morning it was pouring here and then it started to let up by the afternoon. Tomorrow it's supposed to be quite windy around here as a major storm is cranking up in Canada. In some areas in NY and New England, they're expecting blizzard conditions!

Nothing much happening here. I'm glad that tomorrow is Thursday. This week went pretty fast. I'm off on Monday - I'm going on my annual holiday shopping trip to Rehobeth with my friends on Sunday. I can't wait!!!

I hope everyone is doing well and have a great evening!

Good evening y'all!!

I don't peek in here much either now it seems! This third shift schedule I got going on takes a bit to get used to, I am starting to get the hang of it, but didn't get much sleep this morning, and I am very very tired, don't know how I'll make it at work! LOL, I'll cry my river somewhere else!

Well, I have to leave for work in two hours, just wanted to give a quick hello!

Hey Furry....I remember the loss of your dad...and how worried you were about mom. So glad to hear she is moving on with her life. My dad was married to my mom for 32 years. This year, he will be married to his second wife for 30 years. Life can be good the second time around too!

And I do want a photo or two of the Christmas house walk event. What a neat place you have...I just wish your walls could talk. What stories it would tell having had a publisher living there for many years before you!

Great to hear from you...sorry I cut you off at work today.

BTW, almost an inch of rain here in the valley of the sun today. Oh, how the garden will grow for Christmas!!!

One last thing...got a neat picture of granddaughter Emma sent to me today. She has a very unhappy look on her face after learning I was not going to come over and visit her last weekend because of work. Drop me an email if you want to see our angelbaby wearing an unhappy face!

The WXman didn't lie...woke up to very chilly temps here today....refreshing, considering I had to turn on the A/C lastnight to get ready to go out!

Steve, we'd love to share house photos when it takes place! I'm really glad my mom has found her mate :). Women in my family don't stay single long, now do they? lol

Heres a story....Mom met Jim one Wednesday night at church while finding a seat for Wed. night supper ...she saw him sitting all alone, and she knew he was a first timer, so she boldly went over and joined him, introduced herself, invited him to sit in on her Sunday school class the following Sunday, and thats all she wrote....lol Pretty neat :).

Wow Furry!! That is awesome that your Mom is remarrying!! I lost my Dad 5 years ago come January and if there has been any inkling of interest in anyone else by my Mom I sure haven't heard about it. I thought maybe she would move on and find happiness of that sort again, but apparently not.

Definitely you are required to post pictures of the house when the big event happens. Sounds like a LOT of work!!!

Poppysky, I want a picture. My little angel could never have a sour face!!!

My new job continues to go well and they are definitely keeping me busy! I just commented to the wife tonight how fast the weeks seem to be passing now.

Pojo, did you leave school or something? You've never had a day you could relax in the 2 years I have known you!!!  It is good to hear that you can relax a little. We all need that!!

Incredible pictures coming out of Los Angeles from those storms!!! I can not imagine 4 feet of hail!!!! Now the 5" of rain in two hours I can imagine because I've seen it several times here in Houston. Of corse right now we are going on 6 weeks without significant rain! Thank goodness it is the dormant season for grass, etc. or our water bill would be astronomical!!!

Busy at church learning the Cantata and Bells. Have performance on Saturday and on Sunday!! I love the singing and ringing though so this is not a complaint. It feels good to praise the Lord with the gifts he has given me.

Well what a rambler I am!! Time to stop.

It's been cold inside AND outside this little corner of the Bootheel; Annabelle (she be a ho') is the only warmth I can find, and...I guess she will have to do.

I don't visit here often enough lately...too much "needs doing", and if I don't, it won't GET done. Just finishing up two days worth of dishes and the last of six loads of laundry since this afternoon now...tired (as if they care).

Hello everyone. Just because I don't come hear to post, doest mean I am not stopping in to see what is happening in front of the Pot Belly Stove. :D

I try my best to get to the forums during the day, but by the time I get to my computer it is approaching evening... then the regular time generally spend offline during the evening. I am back during the late night to early morning hours.

I believe 5" of rain in southern California is very rare. Joshua can let us know about that for sure. :)

Have a Fabulous Friday (sorry Eric, ) Catch everyone around! 8-)

Good Morning!

"WOW!" This is first time by the PBS in "EONS!" Sorry for not stopping by more........needless to say I've been SOOOOOOO blasted busy these days, with studying for the POST exam, building a new deck, making my Christmas presents, there are NOT enough hours in the days anymore. I'm up at 0400 now studying till daybreak (that's the only quite time I have it seems anymore) then it's off to work for about 4 hours, come home, finish the deck and THEN....off to the woodshop making presents. I've always made the families presents, this year, well....I can't tell you what I'm making, a *few* wxbuddies will get one of my handcrafted projects.

The weather??? My GOD did it RAIN and RAIN and RAIN! I received just over 2.04" in a 24 hour period, it POURED for 24 hours STRAIGHT! A few snowflakes mixed in......I heard on the scanner that Sunrise Ski Area received over 18" That's GREAT news, they could be skiing by Thanksgiving

HI FURRY! Glad to see ya posting! How's the schooling coming along? AWESOME news about your mother!

Steve, by all means, shoot a pix of Emma off would ya?

Jacki....we understand, don't worry about complaining, Lord knows I do MY share "LOL!"

David buddy! How's the new job?

HOWDY'S to everyone else I missed, OH BTW.....HI Tom!

Gotta scoot, more studying  Make it a GGGgggreat day would ya? AND......"TGIF!" WOOOHOOOOOO, it's *date night*.....Michelle and I do a date night every Friday night, we get all dudded up, phoofied up and have a night on the town (if you wanna call dinner at 1800 hrs, a after supper drink and back home before 2000 hrs *8 o'clock* a date "LOL!"....hey, our bedtime is 830 "LOL!")

Hello everyone. Sure seems that winter is on the way. We had a cold front go through yesterday. Temp down in the 30's, constant NW wind 20-30 mph. It's been RAW out there. I took a sick day today. Had a stomach bug yesterday and last night. YUCK! Two of my kids are also home sick from school today, so I'll just make it a 3-day weekend.

Good to hear from you Dennis, this is the busy time of year, for sure.

Hey Cold Front, I know you're there, even if not posting.

Bill, I can relate to the dishes and laundry thing. Never enough time.

Vbhoutex, good to hear about your job. Keep up the good work!

Hi furry, it's good to hear from you again. Sounds like you'll be busy busy decorating your house. That's not for me, for sure!

Azskyman: gardening at christmas? What a concept! Our gardening days were over in October.

Hi Jacki, hang in there, girl!

Stephanie, brr cold! eh?

Take care, everyone.

Hey Gang!

FINALLY the wind died down. It was unbelievable! Unfortunately, we lost a few shingles off of our roof in the process. I guess it could've been worse, like a tree falling into our house!

Dennis - you are one busy chap that's for sure! It sounds like you are studying hard. I'm sure that you'll do fine!

Steve - I'd LOVE to see that picture of Emma also!

Ed - I'm not quite ready for winter yet!

Our neighbors are having a party next door. Their daughter is getting married next Saturday and they're having someone outside serenade her, etc. I've never heard of this type of "pre-wedding" party before. Marty had asked them (kiddingly of course - they're good friends!), "you Italians, what are you trying to be like the "GodFather""? Paul replied "it's going to be BETTER than the "Godfather"! It's going to be one heck of a bash.

Well, better scoot! Have a great evening everyone!

WORK? ON SATURDAY?? Whatta SIN "LOL!" Yup....we have to work this morning *sigh*.....we picked up yet ANOTHER account, it's the Wells Fargo Bank here in Pinetop....no one has touched the landscape in over 2 YEARS! Talk about NASTY, over grown with weeds, trash etc, etc. We were joking with the Branch Manager last week, she asked us to give her a quote on the clean up, spreading new landscape gravel etc.....we did, we bid the job VERY high cuz we REALLY didn't want the account, we have enough as it is AND she TOOK it! HEY.......I'll take ALL the money I can get my hands on.......get's me to my 2nd retirement even faster!

Off for another cuppa Joe, bowl of cereal then off to work *sigh* "LOL!"

Hey maybe you can get a discount on your banking! ;)

Good morning everyone. Chilly here. I'm cold in my room. I hate using my heater because it makes sooooo much noise. Hope it gets fixed soon.

I am off work for a couple of months right now, effective yesterday. This is due to extreme stress levels that I am under. I am going to get some help and hopefully be better by Christmas. But I do not want to return to work until after the one year anniversary of my dad's passing (January 6th) has come and gone.

Good morning all,

I just got finished the bedrooms and office and I'm headed for the kitchen to do some cleaning. This afternoon will be decorating the outside for Christmas. It's supposed to be the the 50's so NOW is the time.

Furry, glad to see ya. You sound really busy and I too would love to see those pics. Great news about your mom. God Bless them.

vbhoutex, don't worry about your mom. Some of us just love to live with those wonderful memories. I've become rather content with that. My mom was 50 when my dad died and she has never ever dated since - she's 82. She lead a very active life and still works and volunteers at the hospital and with the Women's Club and AARP. When we ask her if she would ever date, she says "once you have driven a Cadillac, you get spoiled and just don't want to drive any other car!" I understand that completely.

Stephanie, sounds like you got pounded with that wind too. Whew, I thought we would get blown away over here and you got it even worse!!!

Joshua and Bill, I hope you guys stay warm and safe here at the stove.

Poppysky, I haven't heard much from you lately and miss that. I'd love to see your little angel's new pics.

Shannon, it is great to see you relax. Doesn't happen often enough for you. I think you and jacki (with all your energy) should go over and help Dennis finish his deck!!!!!

Ed, I hope you have more than one bathroom in your house. With everyone down with the stomach flu, that can be really tricky. Did you feel well enough to go bowling last night??

Hi Coldfront!!!!

Well, it's time to get back to work. I'll put on a fresh pot of coffee and brew a pot of Earl Grey for Miss Mary, Jackie and all others who have learned to enjoy this wonderful tea.

Dennis, you are so busy that I've split some logs for the fire. Don't work too hard.

Hey David, the KK's are on the mantel!!!!!

Have a great Saturday my friends
