It's good to be back on the porch... I know it seems like ages since I've last posted here, but vacation has been so wonderful to me since I've been off from work on Friday...

I was able to go to an awesome conference at Alfred University and meet up with some old college friends who were involved in Alpha Phi Omega (a service Fraternity).

Then, on the way back from the conference, I popped in to visit my brother, who is finishing off his grad work at Syracuse. Talk about good timing. I went crazy along with 11,000 SU fans watching the game live in the dome on Monday night... and then was amongst the 20,000 who crammed onto Marshall Street for the party afterwards...

So... I've been down here in Syracuse this week on a total high (natural of course) and living my vacation to the fullest. (There is a welocme home celebration tonight at the dome and you know the place is just going to be packed to the hilt).

Weather here was crazy last weekend - honey of a storm we got... many towns along the southern shore of Lake Ontario were without power for almost a week because of ice damage. I was fortunate to have been south of that event, but I did have to drive though the freezing rain and sleet for about 4 hours... no picnic... but I'm used to roads like that, whereas many of the other folks on the road (and off it :() weren't as adept to such conditions...

Well.. that's the update from me... I haven't dropped off of the planet... just having an awful good time in the "real" world...

I'll see all of you guys again in a few days when I'm back home and back to work... :)

Thanks for sharing the good news about your neice, Eric.

Hey, Gator, glad to see 'ya back with us! LoL, I just don't

(*feeling guilty, maybe)
but, jeez, why? I'm off on "vacation" days, right? LoL!

Good morning, wxbuddies! Its currently 50°F and sunny -
supposed to get up to 64°F, today. Glad to see the cold
and clouds move out of here! I'm going to take Isobar's
advice and NOT do house chores, today - I mean, I'm
willing to bet that Tennessee might be one of those states
where cleaning house on your vacation is illegal...

Mornin peeps,

Hey Ticka can you extend your watch dog duties down south a bit too? Any excuse for me not to do chores is a good thing!

Breeze you heed Ticka's advice or else!!!!! Hope you have a good relaxing day.

It is still rather chilly here for my liking and way to windy for that matter. Most of my pot plants blew over, so I have to head out there and pick them up

Take care all hope you have a good friday:)

Hey all. Just droppin in before I eat a late lunch. Twas a cloudy morning and it's still hazy outside.

I had a rough day at work. :( Live and learn, as they say. I'm new, so I'm bound to be making mistakes.

Please read the following text:

I have a lot of things to do that have been backed up by my constantly being on the Internet. So I will be taking some time off to do these things, but I will still pop in when I am taking breaks. Here is an idea of how backed up I am:

1) Do 4-6 loads of laundry.
2) Address and complete 4 or so letters.
3) Fix various computer-related issues.
4) Resolve birthday celebration plans with my mom on Saturday.
5) Clean my apartment on Sunday.
6) Re-organize my room (ongoing - need to move furniture - again - too.:()

So as you can see, I have a ton of things to take care of, and being on the Internet during all of my spare time isn't going to allow me to do these things. My break begins when I sign off tonighty, and even though I may pop in from time to time, I am still on break until I say I'm back. Sorry for the short notice, but I just realized today (Thursday) how backed up I am and this stuff needs to get done. Thanks for understanding everyone, and I hope to be back in full force by Sunday night. :)

C ya! Joshua

Backed UP!! YOu want backed up Joshua?? Better you have a job!!! I am more backed up now than when I had a job! And I've been busting my patooty too!

My son went to the O'reilly Nationals at Houston Raceway Park today. I had to go pick him up about 9pm ehen he called with a migraine and vomiting!! He had just done to much I think. He hadn't been drinking. I think he didn't eat enough and got to much sun. This was actually a required Field trip from his school. It was either go to the racetrak or go to class. He got to see a couple of world records set and one was seeing the fastest 1/4 mile ever run! I don't remember the time for sure, but I think it was 4.84 secs. and the speed was 333 mph!!! I'm going with him and his girlfriend to another track to watch him race. Not sure when I'll get back, but I know I'll be gone from around 10 am too sometime in the evening.

Well, time for beddy by since I need to be up in the morning for choir practice for our sunday cantata before going out to the track.

EVERYONE HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

Haven't been in here in a long time...health is still slowly degenerating, situation on home front is dangerously close to open hostilities...only Annabelle (she be a ho') is the same.

For those who have been "in the loop" with me, no further explanation is necessary; for the others, what I've written says enough about things aboard ship.

Cool and cloudy, temp is 47F at this writing...tomorrow, some rain with temps in lower 70's predicted.

I have a job sir vbhoutex! I just started one Tuesday, sir! *salutes vbhoutex*

Anyway, if you ever thought I was 100% (note 100%) of the time an angel in terms of my behavior, you're wrong. Read this post I posted on WxChat. It's long:

I had some bad experiences of my own in school, some of which have to be censored because they were so graphic! :o Here are some of the worst (and the best):

* Kindergarten: Can't realy remember much about kindergarten unfortunately ... maybe it's because it's almost midnight here. Now read on...

* In 4th grade, I pulled a few "stunts". One was turning off the water main to the school while the rest of the class was at P.E., after which (while on my way to P.E.) the teachers began to come out of their classrooms and say "WHERE'S MY WATER?"

* Also in 4th grade, I turned the heater in the classroom on to 105 degrees Fahrenheit, not knowing that it would trip the overload sensor and require the district to cone out and reset it. That left the classroom (and the entire row of portables) without any a/c or heat for almost a week.

* Still in 4th grade, I bent down on all 4 knees and acted like a dog while picking up trash after my teacher reprimanded me - in front of the principal.

* In 2nd grade, I locked myself in the school tennis courts, then I freaked out when they told me to climb the walls of the court; which caused them to spend 45 minutes to hunt down a key so they could get me out.

* In 3rd grade, I got lost for an hour while looking for my babysitter after school. It ended up that I was chasing her around the school (and she was doing the same to me).

* In 5th grade, I said "what the he**" and got reported. I also answered the classroom phone and was reprimanded by being forced to write a 300 word essay on why I should not answer classroom phones. I got the teacher back by making it as close to 300 words as possible.

* In 6th grade, I went off on the whole class, especially a boy named Chris, when giving a speech. I chased him around the classroom while screaming and yelling. Later that month, I got mad again, slammed the door, and ceiling tiles fell off.

* Throughout elementary school, I clogged numerous drains and sinks in the boys' restrooms. I did this so many times that the janitor made me work for him during lunch breaks for a while.

* I also continually snuck into the girls' restroom (well a few times only :P ) in elementary school. :o

* In junior high, I didn't do as much since I was only there for 2 years, but I was still bad. I got in my only fight ever in grade school in 7th grade, and I got suspended for it on Friday the 13th. :o It wasn't really a fight either. Not by most people's standards.

* Also in 7th grade, I got ISS (aka in school suspension) quite a few times, usually for things like referrals from teachers for minor offenses. (they hated me - one offense I cannot post on this board)

* During the last week of 7th grade, I tried to ask a very pretty girl out, but by the time I got to that point, there were 300-400 kids gathered around, plus the entire school administration.

* In 8th grade, I was pretty good (for once), the only thing I can recall doing was telling a campus supervisor "you're not my teacher" and he got mad at me. I also now remember telling another student the * word, but a lunch supervisor happened to be nearby. He thought it was directed at him, but people had my back and got him off of me, so to speak.

* In 9th grade, I got placed in ISS for "harassment" of 2 cheerleaders via what the dean termed an underground newsletter, but which was actually a weather report that I printed on my own laser printer and on my own paper, with some copies made by my dad at his work. He even let me be late to class so he could make the copies some days! :D

* Also in 9th grade, I had the entire school administration watching me like a hawk after I found out the code to the school's PA system. I used it maliciously a few times, including paging a student to come to the library to retrieve a lost item (true story) and paging the entire school that Mr. Smith (last name changed) was a *censored*. Then that day, I got paged to the front office, where the principal himself told me to not use the PA system by myself ever again and to forget the code (to this day I haven't - it's 89 * 90), and also to not pass the code on to anyone else. But unfortunately they changed the code soon afterwards. :(

* In 10th grade, my only straight honor-roll year, I got 3 days of ISS for "harassment" (same circumstances as before). :o

* From 11th grade on, I behaved well in school. :D Except the one day when I insulted state mandated testing... :o In front of my teacher and the school principal. :o :ex:

This does not include the one day when I called my boss at Pizza Hut a *3 censored words*, nor the day when I rammed a cart into a lady's car at Sam's Club - in front of my supervisor. Those details are to come later.

Excuse any typos I might have made - it took me a half hour to type this, it's late, and spell check is not an option after certain hours of the night, especially on a Friday night. :P

Gotta go to bed soon, my mom will be here at 11 and we've got to finalize my birthday plans! C U all L8R! -- Joshua
