2. A popular TV show host will die unexpectedly WRONG?

3. North Korea/South Korea will NOT go to war RIGHT

4. There will be a major terrorist attack in Europe WRONG

5. Oregon will beat Auburn in the BCS National Championship WRONG

6. New England will win the Super Bowl WRONG

7. There will be an NFL lockout wiping out most of the 2011 season WRONG

8. A major earthquake will strike California WRONG

9. At least one major hurricane will strike the U.S. mainland WRONG, Irene was not a major...

10. There will be several major tornado outbreaks in the Midwest and Southeast throughout the winter and spring as brutally cold air from Canada collides with warm air from the Gulf RIGHT

11. American Idol will be canceled WRONG

12. Katie Couric will leave the CBS Evening News RIGHT

13. Moderate economic recovery is marred by record high gas prices throughout the year, and unemployent will remain high. RIGHT

Steph's 2011 Predictions:

1) My brother, Jeff, will find a full time job that will provide him and his family with security. Not Yet
2) The Atlantic City Casino Industry will see one of the existing casinos close - probably the Hilton or Trump Marina. Hilton got a last minute infusion of cash to stay open. The Trump Marina is now the "Golden Nugget", which was the name the Hilton originally was and was run by Steve Wynn.
3) The unemployment rate will S L O W L Y drop to 9% by the end of the summer. It was at 9.1 - 9.2% during the summer
4) The Philadelphia region will see one more 6+ inch snowfall and a few that are less than 6 inches. Jan 26-27 gave Philadelphia another 15.1" of snow but that was pretty much it for the rest of the season.
5) The Mid Atlantic summer temperatures will be near normal this year with no more than 7 days of 90+ degree days. WRONG!!! Our July was the hottest month on record this year, 19 people died this past summer due to the heat.
6) There will be a bombing of a major city's rail system. Nope, thankfully.
7) Anger and demand for action will increase regarding the shipping of jobs overseas by American companies. Boycotts may begin. - OCCUPY WALL STREET
8) The NFL season will begin on time, though some preseason workouts and games may be affected by the negotiations. Preseason was affected. Totally screwed up dem 'Iggles
9) Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson will be getting PAID by the Eagles. Half right, only Vick. I think DeSean would've been a better player this year and have no meltdowns if they did give him a new contract. Idiots.
10) Severe flooding from typhoons will affect the Asian coastlines. Well, not just typhoons, tsunamis and poor Japan.
11) The Phillies will reach the playoffs again. Just one round... :roll:
12) Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Howard will have big years. Uh, NO!! Howard blows the last out again plus a tendon.
