Sorry for going off topic, a bit... this was mentioned so in a way it is on topics.....
Why is it "Planned Parenthood"? -- that would mean a mother is expecting parenthood.

That's kind of their thinking, Tom. The group is in favor of abortion when the parenthood (or pregnancy) is NOT planned. I think that *maybe* they also counsel teens and young adults about birth control and adoption options, which are also ways to "plan" parenthood. They want to make sure that the only babies who are born are those who are planned...well ahead of conception.
But because they advocate abortion as one of the options, pro-lifers like me don't appreciate them very much.

I'm sorry... everything about this case is LESS immoral than abortion no matter how you look at it, so I completely disagree.
ABORTION - a woman is impregnated, and later decides she does not want to have the baby. She then goes to the abortion clinic to have a procedure done that results in the death of the fetus -- for the sole purpose of relieving her of the responsibility of having the child.
THIS - a woman is impregnated and afterwards is perfectly willing to have the baby, but finds out that there are abnormalities and a C-section is required to ensure a safe birth of both twins. She chooses to not have the procedure, and the result is the death of one of the babies.
Now you may think that both are immoral... but how this case could be WORSE is beyond me. In the case of abortion, the "murder" is premeditated, whereas here we have the woman making a sacrifice (the baby) to avoid surgery because of an unexpected problem.

WHOA BRETT!
j is stating his opinion, which he has every right to. Debate is good and healthy EXCEPT when people start telling each other that their views or statements are ridiculous, absurd, etc. When you start attacking one another, that's when the problems start. Express your opinions without attacking PLEASE.

Edited post... the "absurd" comment was in reference to the statement that avoiding the C-section is murder while abortion is not, which, as I pointed out, makes zero sense regardless of your moral standards.

I didn't read the article about the woman. From what I gathered, she was told either have a c-section or the baby dies? Am I correct? If that is the case, then she murdered the baby. If it's not the case, she still needs to be held accountable for her actions when clearly, the BEST interest of the child would have been for her to have the section.

Yep Tim...that's what she was told. You should take a couple of minutes to read the article though.
Also...IF the claim is true, it's being reported that she tried to sell her stillborn baby to a couple. I don't know any details on that but if it's true, I'm sure we'll hear more about it soon.
