Ummm . . . it's "Welcome Back, Kotter" :cheesy: I actually stayed up until the wee hours to watch it on Nick at Nite awhile ago.

And now Katie is pressured to deliver quietly! Yeah, I think it's official - she's been brainwashed. I hope like h*** she tells Cruise off in the delivery room and lets him have it - both barrels.

Anyone with any sense, knows a woman in delivery can say anything just about and get away with it. You're forgiven! Not that ~I~ did any such thing.....but I have heard of lots of cussing coming from labor & dilivery rooms....oh yeah.

Poor Katie....

Nicole was in her start when she married Tom. If you look at her pictures with him, she looks like a child. Why is he with these young girls. Yes, all men are, but are these naive girls. They have not been around much. Why isn't Tom, who is so much into himself, with a more mature, famous woman? I think two reasons. Maybe the older, famous or smarter woman is on to him. He has a huge ego. It would not last with most women. The women he chooses think he is a God. Once he is bored with them and his fun is over, he will move on and end up a lonely man. He will move on, take another young beauty, jump on chairs and tell how much he is in love. Why does a man have to tell the world how much he loves a woman? Is there a secret with Tom. Brad and most other stars hide out and keep their love life personal. Maybe it feeds his ego to take Katie out and have the world see how much she loves him. I think it is all sick and he has a real problem. Just my opinion. And, why has Tom been married twice, had an open affair while still married to Nicole and having sex and twins and not married be ok? How does the church explain all that? Well, Tom is a big money raiser for the church, so it is ok, I guess. Now, she can have pain medication. This whole thing is a joke.

All I know is if Katie Holmes was my sister, niece, daughter or cousin - I'd be so worried about her! I do think her family is concerned. The last comment I read or heard about was they are happy she's expecting but wish they could enjoy this time with her. I guess he hogs her and she doesn't see her family anymore? If so, that's sad.....

Other people in that church are not that way. John T;s wife is making commercials and making movies. He has respect for her freedom and choices. I think she respects her husband and religion, but I doubt she would allow either of them to tell her what to do.
People who do not allow family to be around them are hiding something. Katie will catch on soon and one good things, she will be entitled to big alimony.

Tom much be a lonely man. I do not see anyone rallying around him. No one is speaking up in his defense beside his church. Even John T and others are saying nothing. Only Speilberg stands by his side, but really doesn't say much, just a money interest.

Tom Cruise's mother is one example of a woman who should have had a silent birth

I have a lot of respect for someone who stands by their beliefs much to the chagrin of others. I find a lot of good in Scientology. Why are people so quick to harshly judge things they know so little about?

As for the delivery, I've had five children and there was no screaming and carrying on with any of them. A couple of bent bed rails maybe, but no screaming. The baby can hear that, why scare the hell out of them before they even get there?

I respect all religions. I just don't like when they tell me I am wrong and they are right. And, I do not like them pushing theirs in my face.

Ditto! I don't push my belief's onto others and I ask for the same respect back.

My only concern in all of this is Katie. Is she ~really~ happy with how her life has changed so drastically in the past 2 years? Half the time you wonder, does she look in the mirror and ask herself - what have I done?

She's turned her entire world over to him and his religion! Reports I've read state she doesn't see her family as often as she used to (large family). Cruise just seems a little too obsessed to be taken seriously. If she were my sister, I'd be worried.

when my friend married a Catholic, we felt the same way at first and then realized we were just anxious because we knew so little about the Catholic faith. once we educated ourselves a little, that anxiety dissipated.

Some quotes from former Scientologists who left the church:

She said Scientologists are encouraged not to treat sick children with conventional medication, not to comfort and nurture children, and to cut or restrict ties with grandparents if they are not Scientologists.

When he adopted Isabella and Connor, Cruise insisted their biological mothers deliver the babies in near-silence, under conditions dictated by founder L. Ron Hubbard in his best-selling book "Dianetics."

Parents are encouraged not to comfort or nurture young children because Hubbard believed children are small adults, able to think and fend for themselves from a very early age.

For example, a child who falls and hurts himself is taken to the place where he was hurt and the injury is pressed against the object that caused it. It is believed the pain can be made to flow back into the object.

Nicole had to get her children out of the country away from Tom...Connor and Isabella Jane are enrolled in elite parochial schools in an affluent suburb of Sydney.

These practices are fine for those who believe. I am not saying them are wrong, just adding some published tidbits.

I'm not sure where you heard this, but I dont know how true it can be since his daughter was born in 1992 but was adopted by Cruise/Kidman in January 1993.

Maybe it took that long for the adoption to go through.

This came from the New York Post.

I've gotten yelled at before for trying to expose the truth about $cientology here, so I'll just let this website do the talking:

http://www.xenu.net

(be sure to check out how they beat the lowly non-celebrity members nto submission with extremely hard labor, though, and how you can't get any piece of their 'religion' for free. Every single aspect costs you something.)
