I am really gonna date myself....President Lyndon B Johnson in 1966 in Doylestown PA at the Shrine of Czestochowa, shook his hand.

Buddy Rich at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City NJ (when Steel Pier was still around)

My husband went to elementry school with Charleze Theron...

I went to elementary school with the present Deputy Prime Minister of Barbados (Mia Mottley).

Over the years I had lost touch with her but we touched base again just a few years ago at a function.

Somehow it's not so surprising she has reached such lofty heights in government because, from what I can recall, she was always ambitious and a "straight A" student. She's a pretty incredible lady who often speaks at length without the aid of any notes or teleprompters (a skill lacking in many politicians of today).

I've also been privileged to meet some American shuttle astronauts and got their autographs many years ago when they visited Barbados but I honestly can't remember their names.

Former President Jimmy Carter on a plane a few years ago.

We were held up getting on to the plane until he came up via the tarmac.
When we went on the plane we saw him in 1st class and before we took off he went slowly down the aisle introducing himself to each of us and shaking our hands.
He introduced himself as "Hi, I'm Jimmy".

His secret service agent sat in coach.
