Sigh.
30 years ago, air bags didn't [exist] detonate with more force than the actual fender bender if you looked at them funny, either.
But y'all are so totally right. She is the most awesomest mom EVAH! In fact I think I will have some kids and give them to her just so she can raise some more little Einsteins.
If she doesn't like the criticism, then she needs to get out of the spotlight. You wanna be a stah, you gotta love ALL the attention. Not just the good stuff.

Where did she say she didn't like the criticism? Let's not turn this into a Marcia Cross thread and post fabrications.
Besides, what's the paparazzi have to do with criticism or being in the spotlight? If someone is paying to see a celebrity in concert or he/she is under contract to appear in a movie, TV show, play, or whatever, that's one thing. Fans (and producers) expect to get their money's worth. However, the spotlight should be limited. Do we really think that anyone wants to be watched 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? They ought to have some right to privacy -- at least once in a while.
If the paparazzi have no life and really want to stalk someone all day and all night, I've got the name of a guy in Afghanistan for them to go after.

She released a statement defending herself after numerous media outlets and others decried her infant-lap-driving. That would leave one to believe she didn't like the criticism levied at her, because in her statement she didn't really take responsibility--she just made a lot of excuses for what she did.

I remember seeing the pap pics at the time. She contends she was in a hurry to get away. Yet one of them was of her sitting with little SPF on her lap while stopped at an intersection, where no other traffic was moving, either.
Anyway, y'all can think she's a great mom. That's fine. I just don't and will continue to say so every once in a while

Heck, I didn't say I thought she was a great mom. I was just asking where the discussion about criticism came from. It wasn't anywhere in the thread previously.
As for the paparazzi doing their jobs, I disagree. And "Ahnold" does too, or he wouldn't have signed California's anti-paparazzi legislation. There should be a limit.

Still part of being a public figure, because there are parts of the public that want to see those pictures/videos.
And that Diana's car wrecked is all the more reason to strap the kid in, particularly when the pazarrati vehicles in Britney's case were either not moving at all, or had started from parked positions.
