HERE is the "Survivor: Fiji" thread! :)

The last month or so of episodes of Survivor have been some of the most entertaining/dramatic for me since the first season. After pretty much not watching the prior season at all (first season I had done that), I now must say that Survivor is back to being something I look so forward to watching and has once again become my favorite network series in prime TV. The intense, intricate strategizing as well as unpredictability have been the reasons. There's no question that the success of Yau-Man to this point is a big part of the enjoyment, and I have loved watching him play this game so well in so many ways. Moreover, he's been able to do it while pretty much keeping his word with everyone! However, he's not the only one I enjoy watching. Wow, what a season this has become!

now yao-man has a really good shot of winning the whole thing!
I never would have guessed it if you had asked me a few weeks ago.
But wow, he gave up the car AND he sent himself to exile.
say what you want about him, he may not be the strongest survivor ever, but he is the wisest and most cunning of all.

I thought the surprise vote to get Edguardo out a few weeks ago was must-see TV but last night's episode - WOW! Yauman is the man. He was smart on three accounts:
1. He gave the truck away (eliminating that car curse).
2. Sent himself to Exile Island (a first).
3. Played the Immunity Idol (displaying good instincts).
I'll be happy if Yau or Earl wins.
I was so disappointed Ozzie lost last time but this time, either of those two could win and I'd be happy.
If Cassandra wins though, she'll be doing her uh huhs......LOL No she won't get that far. That coat tail she's been riding on can't last forever.

Boo keeps winning challenges and the Immunity necklace. He's a strong competitor but doesn't have respect from the others. Yauman and Earl seem to have respect for how they've played the game (from the jury's point of view too). If Boo can win immunity, then he has a shot of staying in the game. But they want him out.

Kathy, Boo and his family left on Friday for tonights show. A friend of mine who lives right by your house and my sister's best friend, well her daughter lived in the same house as Boo when they went to UL. 5 of them shared a house. My sister was with her for Mardi Gras and Boo came by and watched the parade with them, she said they could not get him to reveal anything and couldn't even tell what he was thinking. She said he was real good at hiding everything. I hope he keeps winning immunity, I'll be cheering for hiim tonight

and a UNANIMOUS vote! With 9 jurors and 3 people that makes it even more impressive.
Also the first black guy to win.
I have more or less lost interest in the show, so this was the first season I didn't watch(and I don't expect to get fully back into it again), but I did watch a little of the finale tonight.

I just watched the last 2 episodes last night, and what was Dreamz thinking. Did he really think he had a chance???? Might as well held his word because after screwing such a well liked contestant over he should have known he wouldn't have gotten any votes.
I guess that made it easy for Earl though, and I liked him pretty well although I would have like Yoa Man to win. First black man to win, and was sitting up there with to other people of color for the final 3. That was cool to see. Well I guess now I wait for BB for my next dose of reality t.v.

Like Jeff Probst, I am still trying to figure out Dreamz. He's worse than a wishy washy female - sorry to my female buds here but come on, this man's logic was all over the map! You never knew whose side he was on.
I think Dreamz will go down in Survivor history, right up there with Johnny Fairplay, for the way he played the game. For going back on his "word". His word, what a joke!
I enjoyed all of the jury's questions. Alex's was the best of all of them. Lisi is just whacko. I can't put her in Rocky's camp, as Jeff did - Rocky was one of a kind and there was just something about him that I liked. He didn't mince words, you knew where he stood. No, Lisi is more or less in Dreamz camp, IMHO - a camp I have no idea what it stood for - maybe stupidity? LOL
I'm happy Earl won. I thought Yauman deserved it but so did Earl too. Last time I was so disappointed Ozzy didn't win, I actually cried. Yes, go ahead and laugh, but I did tear up last year. This time it just felt right. Yauman is so humble and seems genuinely happy for Earl's win too.
I love this show!
So, they go to China next time. Should be interesting! I wonder what the climate will be like.
