"LOST" Thread - Part 2

Miss Mary --
About the promos, don't trust them. They are done by ABC marketing, not the producers.
About the baby and Sun working with the others:
[spoil]The question about the baby won't be answered for awhile.
Sun will find out about Sawyer's part in her kidnapping. Sawyer asks Sun if she plans on telling Jin. She say no, because she doesn't feel like digging another grave, eg Jin will kill Sawyer, if he ever found out. [/spoil]

I have learned not to trust the promos. Survivor does this at Tribal Council - if you watch that show. Editing can make a storyline seem completely different!
I'm still reeling from this episode.
From Locke's stupidity (like they'd even have a decent chance of getting off the island anyway), to him mentioning they have electricity, to seeing Ben's stocked fridge, to Jack's whisper to Kate (I'll come back for you), to Danielle's glimpse of her daughter, to finally seeing Locke's dad. There are many recurrent themes on Lost and one major one is daddy issues!
Someone needs to tie up Locke though. He's dangerous!!!!
Sorry, not a Locke fan but I don't hate the character. I just have to wonder about him half the time. When Sayid seems much more sane to me! Much more level headed.
Surprised we haven't had more comments by now.....where is everyone? Watching March Madness? LOL

I just watched this morning on iTunes. Quite an episode indeed. I just want some answers though. I thought finding out about Locke is a good start but I need more than that!

Kelly - I read that somewhere also and it's important to note Locke was wet. The camera panned him up and down.
Garrett - I want more answers too. But mainly I want all of our Losties back together again, on the beach. At least for a short while. At this rate, the show is starting to feel like several shows, not just one.
Here's one thought that came to me. These are all ifs, but if this story really happened, and you were deserted on a freaky island, children being abducted, Charlie hung from a tree, Claire kidnapped, at some point you just would lose hope. Or one of these plane survivors would lose hope. So if the writers need to trim the cast list, one of them losing all hope and committing suicide isn't far fetched. I know, it seems like the easy way out but imagine trying to sleep on that island? Knowing the others (who I will not believe are the good guys) are watching their every move. It's all too freaky! Not saying I'd resort to such drastic measures but a fragile person might.....now let's see who could we bump off. I know - Juliette! If we're to believe her story, she's there against her will as well.
Well, that's all I've got, for tonight. I wish the show would return to it's original timeslot though.

Hey all - the new TV Guide issue features photos and info about TV's Top 40 Hottest stars.......check out the first one. I did not recognize Evangeline Lilly!!!! Bad boy Sawyer/Josh Holloway is in there too.
But where or where is Matthew Fox? Grrrrr.....he should have won one of these categories, but he was honorable mention or something for hottest doctor. Yep, McDreamy won that one......anyways, if you all want to check it out, here ya go:

First photo is the one I'm talking about and I don't see Josh Holloway's pic anywhere, although it's in the print version.

That and the fact they airbrush her so smooth and flawless, it would have taken me a second to figure it out for sure if you hadn't told me.

I need to borrow that airbrush. It looks like it performs miracles! I would be its toughest challenge though. I hope this week's episode lives up to the hype.

Derek, from the Official Lost Podcast:
Summary of the podcast --- Spoilerly?? I don't think so . .
[spoil]
GREAT PODCAST! (and it's Carlton's birthday)...
They are currently breaking episodes 21 and 22/23.
All shooting will be done in the next three weeks.
The box--Ben was putting it into terms Locke could understand. It's a metaphor. It would be silly for there to actually be a box, says Damon. This will become clearer the next time they pick up the storyline.
You'll see Locke again in the next couple weeks, but not revisit this story for a while.
Locke's attitude about the island will come back into play. The Others will not be encamped in their comfortable place for the entire season.
Rousseau has to overcome her issues before she can approach her daughter.
Expose-they're very excited about it. This episode may make people say they've Jumped the Shark. Nikki and Paulo's flashbacks in this ep. will satisfy people who wonder who they are and why they're here. A couple flashbacks take place in Australia before they got on the plane but most take place on the island.
Boone has a wig which is why hair continuity may not look accurate in the ep. They were not going to ask him to cut his hair for two days' work.
Carlton: "The Others are a lot badder than you think they are." By the end of the season you may not think that their act of hanging Charlie was out of character for them. This seems to imply/confirm that Ethan/The Others are in fact responsible for Charlie's hanging.
We'll see the Dharma van again, it will have a flashback of sorts and see how it came to be in the jungle. We will also see another Volkswagon product on the island.
Alcatraz island was actually shown on Rousseau's map as early as season one when Sayid discovered it in Solitary. They knew about at least one other smaller island even then. [/spoil]

The "Others" want Aaron.

the question though is, why
I have been hearing strong rumors (not spoilers, but speculation) that the Others and Losties will have to band together to fight the other Others. This may be related to the rumors of ep 20 and the season finale.
I am not sure Ben's group is entirely under Jacob's control as Ben said "my people" when discussing why he could not break his word to Jack and Juliet (until that dunce Locke blew up the sub)

Why Alex or Walt or the other kids?? There is speculation that Aaron is special, but that hinges on Christian Shepard (Aaron's grandfather) being an Other.
ETA: Maybe Aaron is Ben's "heir". He intends to raise Aaron as own like he did with Alex.

So you believe that Locke blew up the sub? I'm hearing a lot of speculation that Locke actually didn't do something stupid like blew up the sub. It was pretty obvious to me that Ben was manipulating Locke into blowing up like Cooper used to do.
