Well the PBS is sure feeling nice and warm today!!! This morning it was 36 here!!!!! and a few days ago it was 80!!!! Gotta love that Florida weather  but thats all i know so im used to it..........The hubby and kid have been sick with a cold and these temps. going up and down dont help none....I overdosed on the vitamin C the past couple days so I wont catch it!!!!!! At least I hope not!!!!!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you Big V and Eric! Both of my Grandpas on both sides of my family havent been doing real good the past year....they are in their late 70's....i guess time is just catching up with everyone. :( All I can say is try and think positive and stay strong. That's what I try and do everday.....one day at a time.....

Well I left some nice hot cinnamon buns on the stove for anyone would wants one!
Crouton you better stay away from there!!!! (sniff oink,,,sniff oink oink) (arkess smacks her hands together loud, for another warning).... :ggreen:

Everyone have a great rest of the day!!!!!!!!!!! *Amy* :bday:

Amy, thanks for the cinnamon buns!!! They hit the spot!! BACK OFF CROUTON!!!!! :grrr: :grrr: :grrr:

We do our best to think positive and stay strong. We know all about the one day at a time after almost losing my wife 9 years ago to a burst mitral valve. Something like that changes perspectives quickly and forever!!!!

Eric, keep us posted on your Mom's condition. I've been fighting my allergies/sinuses for weeks now. Some days are worse than others.

HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL!!!!!

Sniff, sniff, sniff. Do I smell cinnamon??? Oh Amy, I loooovvvvvve cinnamon buns!!! Ok, there one with some raisins too!!!! YUMMY Thanks Amy

Yes, it's a shame we all have to learn the hard way to live each day as if it were your last and to have a positive attitude. I learned that a little over 4 years ago. Life and lover are so very precious.

I'll put on a pot of Earl Grey and maybe Miss Mary will stop by.

Turns out that it's just a combination of Mom's high blood pressure and diabetes that is causing her the headaches. Thank goodness that's it and nothing ALOT more serious!

Eric, I'm happy to hear that your moms concerns have been dealt with and you now know whay the headaches. We'll still keep her in our prayers. How was your birthday?

Well, we packed for the cruise today...I'm really excited and can not wait to set sail on Sunday. So...Bon Voyage!

Brian and the kids are doing well back in Cali, business and school as usual.

I'll bring back some Jamacian Rum to sip on by the pot bellied stove...

God Bless All

Did someone say RUM? (*breeze is sniffing around like a hound dog...)

Thanks, furry! That goes SO well with the cinnamon buns that Amy
left! Yum! Have fun on the cruise, and, think of your shivering Storm2K
buddies, would 'ya?

Eric, thank goodness your Mom's situation is treatable!

You've got so many prayers for your MIL, David - may God's grace shine
on her and your family.

Amy, everyone is coughing and sniffling here, too. My goodness - the weather
can be so strange, these days, eh? I'm on the "sniffle" list - my sinuses are
infected, and, the antibiotics didn't touch it. I guess I'm happy that I am not on the
"cough-cough-cough" list!

I'm going to snuggle up by the stove and enjoy the rum and cinnamon buns...

Have a great night, wxbuddies!

Eric, so glad they found the problem. BP and diabetes can cause sooo many problems. I'll be praying that she's feeling better soon.

Furry, I just knew you'd be going on another cruise. Have fun girl!!!! I've never seen anyone that loves cruises like you do.

MISS MARY, MISS MARY!!!!!! Where the heck are you?? You haven't posted for two days and you are missed!!!!!!

I'm going to brew a pot of Earl Grey, stoke the fire and snuggle up in the rocker with Granny's afghan till she comes home.

Where did all the cinnamon buns go? I guess that's what happens if I don't get in here right away. So Amy...if you have time, maybe you could make some more? :ggreen: You would be my favorite person in the whole wide wxworld. :A:

Well, it is off to the largest debate tournament of the season today. I am not taking very many kids this weekend because some are scared of it and it also the Rose dance this weekend so they feel the need to get their groove on. I am just glad I am not chaperoning it. I had to for Homecoming and man... some of the things I saw (and reported) I hope to never see again in a high school.

Have a good weekend everyone!!! And think positive... those of us in the Southern Plains may actually get rain!!!

Hello everyone. Wow I had alot of catching up to do here.

So glad your moms eye pain was figured out, and nothing too serious Eric. My dad as well as many others in my family have diabetes, and it can be scary, with all the side effects they have.

Have fun furry on the big boat! I love cruises so much. I think we will be on a boat this summer, maybe a short 3 nighter. I never want to get off the boat when we dock back to U.S.

Good luck Garrett on the big tournament today, hope you guys kick butt. :D
Yea I missed the the cinnamon rolls too. Dern it. I will just fix me some Earl Grey Pburgh made, since I am watching the calories anyway. Sounds good. I brought in a nice pile of wood on my way in, I will throw on a few logs and relax with my cup a tea for a few.

I will make sure to stop by more often, the fire feels just great. Have a great day everyone. :D

Good morning all! It's an extremely windy day in Cincinnati. Warm - 55! Strange, strange weather for January. We've had rain since late last night and a few claps of odd thunder (rolling thunder that sounds like a jet). Doesn't matter to our Golden - she's already holed up in our downstairs bathroom, w/o windows. She often sleeps there overnight if we have severe storms. Or a movie with storms - LOL. If we ever watch Forrest Gump, she heads for this room. Especially the Viet Nam scenes.

Anyway, calendar says late January but it feels more like April. I'm about to start yardwork soon if this keeps up!

I'm working all next week at our district's middle school. That's a start. I'm still a sub but this school's head cook lives close to our street, her daughters went to my daughters Elementary, so we have mutual connections/friends. All in my favor. I worked my tail off last week for her, for 2 days. She asked me if I was hestitant to learn the register. I said no, I'd try it, might be slow at first and need my glasses (LOL!) but I'd certainly be open to it. Good, b/c I have one employee who refuses to learn. As I'm standing there, saying all of this and receiving positive feedback, I get a good feeling. But I quickly remember I received such positive feedback from other head cooks that turned out to be bogus. All to get me to sub for 2 days - a month! Not even a week.

So I don't know. Part of me says give this sub job more time. Part of me says, Mary, buck up and look for real work.

Our district has a classroom aide position posted also - 32.5 hours a week. Roughly 9 a.m. to 3:30 every school day. Elementary level (have no idea what grade level, if 5th or 6th, I'm screwed, lousy at math!). I'd love K thru 2nd, to be honest. Love that age group. But I'd be working 12+ hours than I might be able to handle (health reasons) and need a new but not fancy wardrobe. Decisions, decisions....well, for all I know this job might be filled and hasn't been removed from the website yet.

That's what's going on in my world.

What's going on in YOUR world today?

Mary

PS - and oh yeah, chipped a tooth this morning. I've done this before. There goes at least $200. Pray I don't need a crown!

Amy's Kennel at your service! That does sound like a handful but being a major dog lover, I'd be dog heaven about now! Do you have pets yourself Amy?

Hi, y'all, I'm just popping in, in between bouts when my fever spikes. I must have some kind of virus. It's weird- no sore throat, sinus pressure, or ear ache. No coughing, no nothing. Just a fever that hit 103 a little while ago. I took some ibuprofen again, it comes back down, and I feel ok for a while. I hope this goes away.

Ed - that is odd but maybe this is all you'll get? Hope so anyway. You don't want the dreaded cough that can linger for days afterwards or the intestinal thing (I had that last Sunday into Monday).

Hope you feel better soon!
