Thank you ,VBhoutex, Alicia! I am slowly getting better. I think my fever has broken since II haven't had a fever since yesterday afternoon during an arugument with daughter and son on phone with me. I felt like I was drowning in heat and by the time I could hang up the phone my clothes were soaked with sweat. Since then I have felt cool to the touch so I guess I am getting better. Now if I could just get my voice back, I sound like a strangled frog.

a couple of nights ago, we had Ciao Bella's Pastore pizza: wild mushrooms, gorgonzola, basil, prosciutto, and mozzarella. OMG, it was the best pizza I've ever had!!!

Hot dish (casserole) night: ground turkey, shredded hash brown potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded colby-jack cheese, salt, lemon pepper, dill, onion flakes, paprika + extra cheese on top; sugar-snap peas and sliced farm tomatoes to round out the meal :)

Kids had McDees, when I get hungry I will have a salad and a lean cusine.

Dee Bee, my hubby brought home some farm tomatoes and they were not all that. I swar its hard to find good matter. Used to could get a good tomatoe at the farmers stand, not anymore it seems. At least here. That is why I am starting my vegi garden now, mostley tomatoes, and some okra and peppers. Nothing like a good home grown sliced matter with salt and pepper. :D :D :D

Tonight my mom and I went to a local seafood restarant. I was starving since I did not get a chance to eat lunch today. We split some onion rings for an appetizer. My mom had a small shrimp salad with a cup of Spinach and crab soup. I had the combo platter of shrimp and catfish, it came with potato Au Gratin. Could not eat it all. Got way too stuffed.

We signed up for fresh veggies from a co-op in the suburban Boynton Beach-Delray Beach called Green Cay. Every other Thursday, we receive a large box. Last week it was not only a dozen large red but also four large and a dozen cherry-sized yellow tomatoes (along with boston lettuce, a large bag of mixed field greens, zukes, cauliflower, corn, beans, and oranges).

Tomorrow a.m. my sister and I are meeting my daughter at the downtown West Palm Beach farmers' market (Saturdays from 7 to 1 from mid-October to late April/early May). The best tomato stand there carries red, yellow, orange, and even purple heirloom varieties. Marvelous! And there's a booth with the world's best authentic Cuban cafe con leche -- I'm nearly drooling just thinking about it -- not to mention all the baked goods, flowers, herbs, cheeses, oils, fish, plants, flowers, and more. One of the best parts, too, is watching all the marvelous dogs people bring with them! :D :D

I cooked up a storm last night. Now I don't have to cook the rest of the workweek. I cooked a shrimp/rice stuffed chicken, chicken etouffee, enchilada casserole, green bean casserole, corn maque choux.

Grilled chicken breast on the George Foreman grill, Pasta Roni White cheddar shells and cheese, garlic rolls. I could barely eat though because all I keep thinking about is the dreaded jury duty that I have to go to tomorrow morning.
