Kris -- :) The Way You Look Tonight. . . . *thud* :D

*kills D5 and fact*

Allison -- Someone to Watch Over Me . . . very good pitchy in places . . . but very good. . . right song for her voice. . .

Matt -- *waits for Matt's impression of Justin Timberlake doing Funny Valentine* the low notes are sucking badly . . . stick a fork in it . . . he's done

Danny -- I gonna love you. -- He should sing the blues more often, but the ending was a bit over the top. . forget Rascal Flatt-flavored stuff .. . I like this better .. won't buy the album . . . Buble and Connick do it better

Adam Feeling Good -- why we are still having this competition? . . . that was awesome. .. though I have heard this arrangement before somewhere

Adam

Kris/Danny
Allison

Matt

"Rat Pack". COOL!!! :D

I LOVE this song - "The Way You Look Tonight". What an endorsement from Jamie Foxx to Kris! Not a bad rendition.

Allison - "Someone to Watch Over Me". She's only 17???? Her sultry voice suits this to a "T"! Okay, so she blew by Kris, IMHO!!

What the heck is Simon talking about - MECHANICAL??? That was soulful!

Matt - took Jamie's advice. He does need to get away from that falsetto. Not too bad, a little off key.

BTW, I like Jamie Foxx as a coach.

Danny - LOVE that low growl! EXCELLENT! HE'S RIPPING THIS APART! - You say it Randy! I'd LOVE to get an album of him singing these songs. I may even download this song on ITunes.

They may be going over again tonight...DON'T gip Adam!

Adam - as Jamie said - WHHHAAAAA???? Note to download video and song!!! Everything I expected!

Did you see the judges???

Fun night! :D

1) Adam
2) Danny
3) Allison
4) Kris
5) Matt

This was an odd night for me... I actually found all 5 people to be pretty good, with the top three being Danny, Adam, and Kris(Allison and Matt close behind though).

I say Kris should go home.

Kris was pitchy- I was not impressed even though I like him a lot.

Allison-another top notch performance. I understand what Simon was saying, but we should see Allison in the final, especially now that the Lil machine will not be taking votes away from her and may actually shift to her.

Matt-Definitely not his best performance, still good though. Simon is wrong. May be the one going home.

Danny- A very good performance, but not as powerful as I would expect. He'll be around next week.

Adam-'nuff said!!!

1-Adam
2-Allison
3-Danny
4-Kris
5-Matt

It is definitely very difficult to rate these 5 since they are all very good!

These are my choices
1-Adam
2-Danny
3-Allison
4-Kris
5-Matt

What I think doesn't really matter. I bet either Allison or Matt will go home.

I just downloaded Danny & Adam's performances on ITunes. Great stuff! All of the songs that the 5 selected were great to listen too and I do think that they all captured the "Rat Pack" era.

LOL at the Food fight! and the "bill" Ryan gave Danny. :roflmao:

Sidenote: Glee looks awesome!

Oh God, not groups with one person in the middle.

Left side of stage on TV: Matt and Kris
Right side of stage on TV: Allison and Danny

Adam gets to pick the group he belongs to. I hate this nonsense. Picks Allison and Danny and is wrong.

Allison and Danny safe. Matt/Kris/Adam bottom three. Very surprised to see Adam there.

Did they always have a bottom 3 for the Top 5?

I think that having someone in the middle to select the group that they should be in totally SUCKS!! I don't care who it was that was in that situation.

I think that Adam is a part of the Top 3. I could theoretically see Danny going past Adam in the best performance last night because Danny really got into that song. I don't think that Allison was better than Adam. Adam was definitely better than Kris or Matt.

Poor Allison and Danny - the looks on their faces!

GET THE HECK OUT OF HERE!!! :x

American Idol is going to be wishing that they had that "Save" this week.....

Don't put that on Jamie! If I was Jamie, I'd smack Ryan upside his head right now!

Jamie's right though, it all depends upon what the contestants do AFTER American Idol.

Matt going home makes sense to me. But Adam second from bottom? How can that possibly be?

I don't really know if I buy Adam as the 2nd lowest vote getter. Wonder if it was a ploy by producers since he's pimped so much(he got the pimp spot AGAIN last night, more than anyone else).

BTW: The save would have been out of play this week anyway, used or not. Last week was the last week they could use it.

Yeah I know. I was referring to them thinking that they should've extended it further. Actually, if they didn't use the save for Matt, Adam would've been gone this week!

Sometimes what happens is that people think that someone is safe, that they get lulled into a false sense of security. That could've been what happened with Adam this week. I believe that was the assumption made when Tamyra Grey was voted off. I remember the judges spitting nails on that one and there were others that reached the bottom 3 that had the judges up in arms as well. Ruben Studdard reached the bottom 3 one time as well.

Not necessarily. . . I believe Adam being the 2nd lowest vote getter is BS... Adam was put in the bottom 2 for the same reason as Ruben was put in the bottom 3. . . to rally his fans. For some reason, Adam is not getting the votes the producer want him to get. I think the producers want him to win or at least be in the final. The producers of AI are not above manipulating the bottom 2 or 3 for dramatic effect/getting the result they want.. . I believe that's why they call it unscripted drama. . .

I felt that way when Ruben won over Clay Aiken, though I always did like Ruben.

There's no way to really know how tmany votes they've really received - that's always been questionable with this show. You could be right.

Wow, she sounds incredible there as well.

And I don't think her style/personality is an act. She just turned 17 a few days ago... you can change a lot in a couple of years, particularly at this stage of your life. I still heard the raspy voice in that song, anyway. I'm not sure what is so shockingly different. Her hair color?

I don't think that she added anything extra to the show other than more time lapsing.
