Good Sunday Afternoon all!!

Chad I hope that was friends too!!!

For those of you who know Streetsoldier, please check out my post in the "Attention all off-topic forum users" thread. I had a nice long phone conversation with him a little while ago.

We are having quite a windy day here in Houston :scatter: even though no 40 mph gusts like Eric! We had a 77f high today with the temp currently at 72f with winds from the south at 9 gusting to 27. 61% humidity and waiting for the next front and storms to arrive. Looks like we're saying goodbye to spring for a few days so we can develop that 1-2 punch Rob is talking about. We have rain and temps in the 40's and 50's for the next 4 days being progged!! YUCK!!!

Hey Josh! Good luck on that new job possibility!!! I begin in earnest tomorrow looking for a new one. I talked with my past immediate supervisor thursday and confirmed what I already had figured out. There will be no call backs, at least not for me. I had already made up my mind that it would be the last place I would go back to anyway so I'm not upset!! I absolutely refuse to compromise my principles for any job and I would have been required to to keep the new management happy and that ain't gonna happen. I had nine good years there and one lousy one and it is now over!! One reason I don't want to go back there is the fact that I see the firm going under within a few years if things don't change management wise. I am not the only one that feels that way either.

Breeze, I know about those ribs!! Or I should say my Mom does. When I was a lot, lot, lot younger she and Dad went to a party. Someone told a joke and she got to laughing so hard she broke a rib!!! I kid you not!!!

Speaking again of ribs-Southerngale, this is Daddy David speaking. Go back to the doctor!!! Don't let that bronchitis develop into Pneumonia!!!
You won't be able to enjoy our stormy season here if you get sick!! :o

I'm SO UPSET!!! I missed chat last night and everyone had thongs on!! Oh wait!! My bad!! You guys were talking about thongs!! Was the model there? :lilangel: Not that I would have looked!!! :lilangel: Yesterday was a lllllllooooooonnnnnnggggggg day for me!! Up at 6am to be at a Bell choir festival by 8am. We set up and rang basically from 9-4!!! :o Tallk about on your feet too long!!! From there we went back to our church and unloaded and set up all of our equipment. Then I went straight home, picked up the wife and went to dinner with a group from church. After dessert-YYYUUUUMMMM!!!!!-at the pastors house, we went to the store to buy the ingredients for chili which we had to cook last night for today's chili cookoff at the church. On top of that I had to be at the church at 8:30am for more bell practice since we had to ring today also. So now it is time to rest-NOT!!! HONEY DO'S!!! Well maybe tonight!

Well, I'm being paged to go buy dinner at Whataburger so now I must go and answer the call of the Tummy!!

LoL, David, we sure did miss you on chat, last night! I kept
asking for Kleenex, as, I was laughing so hard! That's incredible
about your mom breaking a rib, laughing. One of my coworkers
had a coughing attack on a plane coming back from Mexico,
sitting in a cramped plane seat, and ended up with a rib fracture
from it - she was trying to stifle the cough, as not to disturb the
other passengers! Anyway, hope you can join us next week! And,
good luck with your job hunting, wxbuddy.

Southerngale, do take David's advice and get some treatment
for that cough - Spring is coming, and, we gotta feel good to
keep an eye on those storms!

Eric, glad you didn't get any severe damage, there. They have
called for storms here in the last few weeks, and, nothing...nadda.
I mean, I don't want the house to blow away, but, a good
thunderstorm would be nice!

Everyone have a good evening!

:o lol you guyz, mates meaning friends ( lol..no I bring in mates to sell off his DNA that way we get the full amount and dont have to give the sperm bank a fee!!!!!!!!!!)

Well I had a great day, we went for a ride on the boat down the intercoastal waterway. Beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky. 2 Dolphins were playing in our boats wake so we stopped for about an hour and just watched them, a fantastic treat to say the least.

Now, what did the rest of you get up to today?

Hey breeze, care to hum a few bars of that song for the rest of us? :P Looks like chat is the place to be on Sat nights. 8)

Rob - Good luck with your checkup.

southerngale - yep, I agree, don't let that cough go on too long before seeing the doctor. It can quickly develop into something worse. Now if only I took my own advice. I just suffered a week with conjunctivitis in both eyes before calling the Dr to change eyedrops.

We had our 18th anniversary today (actually yesterday the 23rd). Went out to dinner and got home just as it started snowing cats and dogs. Got about 3" so far. It's almost done with. I'm not even going to set the alarm though. I *KNOW* these wussies here are going to cancel school.

Goodnight Maryellen, goodnight Daddy, goodnight JohnBoy.

The PBS feels good right now here in Texas

#567 Postby Guest » Mon Feb 24, 2003 9:55 am

Wow what a difference one day makes. Its getting chilly outside right now and its going to be a cold and wet and miserable week for us here in Southeast Texas. Southerngale - you get yourself to a doctor and get that taken care of - don't try to be Superwoman and ride it out - it will get the best of you.

Vb(David) thanks for the update on StreetSoldier - he is in my prayers. I agree Annabelle and Firehead are adorable in that picture - :D

Time to hit the grindstone and get some work done.

Everyone have a great week - I left a box of Krispy Kreme donuts by the stove - everyone enjoy.

well, this feels good to get my classes over with. I had a Calculus II midterm, so can you say overstressed. It felt so good to get that off my back! Anyways, I had people coming up to me after class asking why I played hooky from Chemistry II which is also at the same time...I had a midterm, so I had a reason to miss Chemistry II. I'm basically going to Individual Study Chem II since, by reading the book, you'll learn more (you basically don't learn anything in the lectures...and I still get the notes from my original professor, so I'm set.) I have a Chem II midterm on Friday, and an Environmental Geology midterm on Monday morning at 8am! (Bright and early!!!) So I'll be studying all this week for the exams.

Just a tad bit nippy around here currently 12* with windchill -4*

For those of you that have been following my USAF comments, well I talked with the recruiter and told him that I am going to enlist. I have an additional follow-up meeting tomorrow to discuss tests, physicals, etc which I to take within the next couple of weeks. So needless to say, the weeks ahead will be interesting (well, besides the fact that I turn 21 in about 2 weeks!) I can't wait for my birthday!!!

I see Mardi Gras is in Full Swing...that would be fun to attend, but I don't think my professors would like me missing midterms.

I have never been one to party... (I swear I am telling the truth!) but Mardi Gras sounds like fun! :multi:

Snowing here right now and it looks like we are going to get a surprise inch tonight. College was cancelled today and it is not likely going to be opened tomorrow so I guess I am getting an extra break!

Have a good evening everyone!

Brrrrrr! I'm putting another stick of wood in the stove. Brought
some hot chocolate to go with the KKs that ticka brought by- help
yourselves - thanks, ticka! I needed that!

LoL, snow is heading our way....again. The roads are all salted
and it's supposed to be snowing good by 6am - 2"-4" predicted
for my area. I guess our patients at the office will be cancelling,
left and right, so, I suspect I'll either get to stay home, or come
home early, tomorrow. Kinda like a kid, waiting for my snow
days....:ggreen:

Garrett, I've never made it to a Mardi Gras, either, though, I'd
love to, at least once!

Shannon, I know you're more relaxed with getting your
classes over with...hang in there!

Isobar, lol, that thong thang just lives on, don't it? :bgbounce:

Southerngale, have you made that MD appointment, yet, wxbuddy?
(A-hem) (*tapping my foot)

Ya'll have a good evening, and, stay warm and dry!

Thanks for the well wishes, I get tense around Midterms, but once the burden is lifted off my back, well, then I'm back to normal.

Thanks for the Hot Cocoa breeze... :)

It's a bit nasty outside, and the old ticker could use some warming up by the fire...

It's been a few days since I've rested my boots by the PBS... weather has been playing havoc with my internet connection... first time that's ever happened to me... but...

even in the whiteout I was able to find my way back home...

Temp: 5* / -10* (wc)
Pressure: 1014.9mb
Humidity: 82%
Respiratory Index: 3 (poor)

- gator.
