That appointment is tomorrow morning @ 11am...this will tell me if I need surgery on my Arnold Chiari Malformation...

And also BTW, I mentioned this last night in chat and said there might be a way to treat the symptoms, well I was right and wrong...I could treat the symptoms individually and not deal with the problem itself, but the only way to fix the ACM itself is surgery...and there are at least a dozen ways to do that...

Update on my cousins...Peyton who had a steph rash is now much improved and is home but w/ a weakened immune system could be tough road for him life in that regard. Also, Austin who has the eye injury...he had surgery last week but the doctor wasn't able to to stop the bleeding that's been going on w/ the eye...continued prayers for both him and Peyton...and that Austin won't go blind in the injured eye and/or have to end up getting a prosetic (sp?) one and that it won't bring on any psychological problem for him if that has to be the case for his future.
He still has to keep his head elevated.

I've got you all and your requests covered, too.
Also, let's remember (Wnghs) KC in our prayers as he recovers from pink eye infection...he's seen a doctor and is on medicine for it...and that the Lord will bring him comfort for his eye.

Early this Thursday morning I was "thumbing" through this very thread from the beginning. Eventually, I got to the month of January when I started to post on this topic about my friend Emily.
I just have to laugh at what I wrote in this post. Throw away my relationship with Emily? Not in a million years.
Since late May, I have seen Emily more in a month and a half then I had since I met her last September to Mid-May! In other words, a lot. I have also met a boat load of new people.
I have gone out to lunch with her, gone with her to I-Hop late at night and met other friendss of her and now myself, and just plain enjoying our company.
This may sound kind of corny, but I do care for her safety, especially when she is out and about or, like she is until this Sunday (July 11), when she is home alone with her now 1-year old daughter. I just get a bad feeling every once and awhile someone is going to hurt her. Now, Emily is not a weakling in anyway. I would never mess with her or I would be hurting
, but she is not muscle woman either.
I just would like some prayer that God will take care of her.
On a another note, for her health I wish she would cut down on smoking. That is corny, but she told me she had cancer way back on her skin, which was removed. That got me to think about lung cancer and all.
So, all and all, things are going much better than a few months ago. Coming up in September will be a year since we first introduced ourselves! Coming up in November will be the first time I went out on my first date ever (obviously, my date with Emily).
Further, I am meeting other friends at my 18-30s group at church that I have recently started to attend. Now, I am also asking that in someway, Lord willing, I can kind of merge the two: Emily (perhaps more) and church.
That would be very much appreciated!

Guys and gals...we need to keep our friend Yoda (Matt) in prayer as he is suffering from severe depression and made a suicide attempt last night!

I also have a praise in that my cousin Austin who has the badly injured eye...well, my Mom got an update on him and his sight is gradually being restored and he's finally able to be in a reclining position!

I have a prayer request for my step aunt. Though she does not look at this board, I would rather not mention her name.
My step aunt was fired from her bank job, a job she has had for a long time. I am not sure on the particulars, but her bank is so understaffed making the workload a little demanding at times.
The way I hear it she made a few mistakes on some files/paperwork and was terminated.
She is the main bread-winner of the family of four. Recently, her husband (which I prefer to withhold teh name) was let go along with others from a golf course which he helped start up some 16 years ago. The course was sold, and full-timers were let go. The husband works at an exhibit (like for conventions) moving company or something similar to that; however, he does not have benefits yet. My step aunt had the healthcare benefits.
I just am asking that the S2K community pray that the family gets things back together job wise, that my step aunt can find a similar job at another employer, etc.

Please keep me and my friend (at least I hope he's still my friend) in prayer...we know each other from as far back as...ahem (TWC board days)...and this week at another wx site he got angry because I was re-promoted back to a Mod at this site...and I guess he thinks I didn't deserve this re-promotion apparently. I was absent for a few days...got a PM from another Wxbud (owner of the site) that I had been demoted for my lack of activity at this site...but since have become active there again and re-gained my Mod status as a result. But apparently hasn't been able to forgive me for my absense and then re-activation and Mod re-promotion. I've sent him some nice PM's and have tried to activate lines of communication between us to no avail it seems. I've had some angry thoughts toward that haven't been Christ-like...it's really stressed me out!
